Michi - wow, that is a lot of cruises! This will be our 5th. We stop at Bonaire, Caribbean - Aruba - Cartagena, Columbia - Fuerte Amador, Panama - Puntarenas, Costa Rica - Huatulco, Mexico and Puerto Vallarta, Mexico. They cancelled Nicaragua (too dangerous). Hope they don't have to cancel any other ports. We have a long trip there - a 4.5 hr drive to Vanc airport, then 7.5 hr flight to Ft. Lauderdale and then onto ship about 3 hrs later. Coming home is a bit easier, we get off in LA and then a 3 hr flight back to Vanc and then 4.5 hr drive home. We'll be exhausted (but happy).

Hi Rae, where abouts are you in BC? I'm in the Lower Mainland and quite familiar with the province because of my work. ~4.5 hours driving from YVR puts you in a lot of different areas. Easier to say where it's not - northern BC and the Kootenays.

Karen, I plan to have my camera on. But I will warn my sweet hubby to not walk through the background unless he’s full dressed! HA!

We took the longer cruise (19 days) b/c my daughter is home to watch the dogs but once she is back to work, I don't think we'll do any more longer cruises like that, its too hard on the dogs. But another 7-9 day cruise hopefully next year will be booked. Not sure where yet. What were your fave cruises? I love to hear from others who have a lot of cruise experience.
Which ship are you doing?

Happy Thursday to all.
Still not done catching up on reading but I am mostly caught up on laundry, and g'kiddo's. Plus a medical appointment.

Catching Up.
LilyAne- thank you for ideas to scrap with these challenges. That is most helpful.

Shana- We loved Nashville- cool for all the photos and good luck with your injury. Prayers for healing soon and completely.

Jill- I love that phrase "nosybeak". I've never heard it before.

there was however a young gal on our cruise [traveling solo] from Melbourne. She had been [with family] to Los Angeles, a week...the Ft. Lauderdale , a week, a few days in New York...back to Ft. Lauderdale. Her family returned home and she carried on a 10 day cruise alone! It was nice chatting with her.

Lynnie- I love that page of your dog. Thinking of you.

Steph- feel better

Katherine- WoW on 31! I always enjoy your journaling and wonderful photos.

Ane- Neat to be with the grandbaby. Lots of photos help with their memory to remember as they grow.

Back to read more later and hopefully post more pages tomorrow.

Stickybeak is the official term, but nosybeak works very nicely as well:)

Well done Katherine!!! WOOHOO!

Shana, THAT comment is when GS needs a full blown LOL icon! (I really don't like their choices of emojis) Thankfully my back is to my window so hubby can't walk behind me.

See ya Sunday!

I am up to 24 layouts.
I have an interesting quandry though. I have been restricted on facebook. :36_1_37:
I am not sure how it is going to affect me posting layouts and stuff, I guess I need to go find out.
It was something so stupid, that I am shocked it hit their allogrythyms, :shh

Anyone ever been in this situation?

Good afternoon ladies.

Sherri - I've never been to FB jail but know many who have multiple times. It is a thorn in everyone's side. Hope you are free soon :)

I have been watching youtube videos, looking at styling short hair. I just ordered a mini pencil flat iron, designed for short hair. I have short hair and next week it will be even shorter as I go in for a pixie cut. I'm going to the dog park soon and will be home tomorrow so hopefully I will get the zoom set up properly on my phone. Looking forward to chatting tomorrow.

I'm going to get out of here but will see you tomorrow.

Lynnie or any other experienced phone Zoomer, how soon before the mtg do you suggest logging in to make sure everything works? Mahalo!

I think I was able to post everywhere I needed to, layouts seem to be getting likes and comments so I think they are visible. Its my first time in FB jail, I know people that are in more than they are out.

I did a page for Connie Prince called Bunny Ears and I think it is my most favourite that I have done this month, it is so simple, and clean, and I love it. I typically like the messy, grungy painty layouts, so its strange its my favourite.

Hi everyone! I am excited for the Zoom call. I am so glad the weekend is here-- it's been a long week. I have an upper respiratory thing going on and have been a little down, or as Eren would call it, "meh." I just haven't felt like myself or like doing much of anything. It'll pass, but it sucks.

On the bright side, I managed to post my 20th layout today and I am done. I just don't think I could manage 31, so I applaud you, Katherine, for doing all those.

Found the zoom info, thanks for including my time zone.

‘’how has cruising changed post Covid? I’ve been on three years ago like 89, 99, and 2007. So no experience

Happy weekend everyone, I am cruising with the layouts, 25 to date which is more than I thought I could get done. Subjects are hard to find for some of the challenges but still hoping to see if I can make it to 31.

Looking forward to the zoom call, I have it loaded on my phone now so hopefully I will not have any glitches. I do video chats with my son in Banff all the time so I am familiar with them but we usually do them though FB.

Katherine, glad that you got 31 layouts already.
Michi, Hope you figure it out, I did and I am not to computer savy as some.
Sherri, hope you can make the zoom call, another fellow Canandian.
Rae, another fellow Canadian but with nicer weather than me.
And many fellow scrappers from other fabulous places on this great planet.

Looking forward to meeting you all!

:)

‘’how has cruising changed post Covid? I’ve been on three years ago like 89, 99, and 2007. So no experience

I've been on 18 cruises various cruise lines. 2 since Covid.
My cliff notes:
Nov. 2021- fewer passengers and staff on board. Staff all wore masks. Passengers had to prove vaccinated. Separate dining areas for vaccinated passengers. Mask not required for Vaccinated if in a restaurant. Required if walking around the halls or in everyone places. Not needed outside. Needed on excursions. Buffet- they served you.

March 10-20, 2023- No masking required or proof of anything that I could tell. People everywhere. Full capacity of passengers. Staff still short but that is everywhere and everything.
Buffet- do it yourself [which I can't stand but I don't like buffets anyway]

Very few passengers or staff wore a mask.

Pretty much back to the old days.

Sherri, I was in FB jail for posting layouts. Apparently, because I posted the same thing in multiple places, it considered me a spammer. So now I know to change up the text to accompany my layouts when I post on FB. That seems to help.

We did a 2 week cruise in Feb. to the Panama Canal. We had to prove vaccination, but that was about it. People would cough and not cover their mouths. It was as if we had learned nothing from having a pandemic. Staff was diligent about stopping people and making everyone wash their hands before entering the buffet areas. A handful of people wore masks, but most did not. We just washed our hands as often as possible and kept our distance. We had no issues and stayed healthy! :)

I am looking forward to the zoom call tomorrow. I will log in quite a bit ahead of time so those who are new to zoom, or even those who just want to check things out, can log in and check that all is working. I will also provide my phone number that day so you can call me if you are stuck. I will also repost the zoom info a few hours before the call.

Don't forget that there is a comments aspect of the scrapathon also. It is easy to take a few minutes to leave meaningful comments for our wafflers! This group is not really who needs to hear this message, but please, meaningful comments are what's intended. Not just "lovely page" or some other quickly dropped 2-word missive.
Lynnie, I thank you especially for your diligent and incredibly thoughtful comments. They are always appreciated and are dear to my heart.
