Hi everyone! <3

I am down for a Zoom call! You got my time, Lynnie, so I'll be waiting for whenever you send out that link. :)

Okay… next Sunday it is. I will post full Zoom details later this week. My computer will not turn on today. I have to take it in.
Mary (pickymom) welcome!

I have never posted here and did not know about. I found it by mistake but it is a great mistake. I would love to get to know some of the people who I see there pages but do not know much about them. I can see a lot of things in common with me. I am older, a Grandmother, have health issues, loss someone who we loved and defiantly all love digital scrapbooking maybe to the point of addiction. But a good addiction.
I lost my husband in 2014 and recently loss my oldest daughter in January. I have another daughter and three grandchildren.
I now have to take care of 2 oldest grandkids after school. Sybil is almost 10 and Allen who is 12..I am sure you have seen them if you look in my layout. They are the subject in just about all of my pages.

I would love to join the Zoom call. My time zone and state is already listed. I am from Columbia, South Carolina.

I am from SC too! I live in Aiken but my Oldest son lives in Lexington!

Lynnie, I love a woman who takes charge of a situation! Thanks for setting up a time and date. I will clear my schedule and do my best to join in! :) Whoot whoot!

Hello everyone! I'm a newbie here on GingerScraps, although not new to scrapbooking. I know Lynnie from our days over at DSP. Haven't scrapped in years but have a new granddaughter, so I'm looking forward to fresh inspiration!

A little about me, I'm a native Tennessean, living in Nashville most of my life. We are fortunate to have family close (within 3 hours) and love spending time with them. I'm a Church Secretary by day and an artist, scrapper, quilter, and writer by night. I love to create, no matter the medium.

Looking forward to meeting all of you!

Howdy! I was just in Nashville two weeks ago! I can't believe how much that city is growing. I loved how you described yourself... it made me think of a new type of superhero! :)

I would love to join the chat, not sure about the time change though. I am in the Central Standard Time and would need a link to hook up to zoom. I think I have done it before but don't currently have it on my computer.

A BIG thank you for all those voted for me the the LOTW...I won, so excited.

I am beyond excited to see you here! You are such a fabulous scrapper, I am sure you will be back in the swing in no time. There are quite a few folks from DSP here. It is the most awesome site on the planet!

I will add a time for central time and send a link. You should just need to click on it.

I am very excited about doing a Zoom together :) What a great month to do it, for the scrapathon. One of the challenges is for our digital friends. If we get creative, we should be able to get it in just under the wire.

I am a little discombobulated today. My relatively new computer would not turn on yesterday afternoon and I was so frustrated. I took it in today (it is still under warranty) and it will be a MONTH before I get it back! I have the data backed up, well, most of it, so I haven't lost much. They said it is the mother board, so I should lose any data anyway. I had just downloaded all my pictures from my phone and deleted them, so I am a little frustrated that I won't have access to them right away, but that is a relatively minor problem, I think.

Anyway, I have to get Zoom set up and all kinds of stuff, then I will post the link here and anyone who wants to can join. It will be loads and loads of fun!

Aw, Lynnie - that sucks about the computer but good that they can fix it and it is under warranty. Looking forward to zooming if I'm home.

I am also having problems. I came to Arizona to visit family and left my zoom camera home. Luckily my family mailed it to me. I used a water camera and phone to take close ups but could not do my bird photos. I then went to the bird refuge this morning and had over 1300 photos that I needed to look through and delete 75% of them most likely. The only problem is when I went to download them, I was told I needed to format the card. If I did that, I lose them all. I took it into Best Buy but they told me the card and photos were corrupted. I could send it in and it would take about 30 days and cost anywhere from $200-1,000 to hopefully get them back. I decided the photos would not be worth that, although I think there were a couple birds I had never seen or got photos of before. Hopefully I will see them another day while I am here.

Hello Di and welcome to GS. I am an old DSPer as well, my name was evergreen100 back then. I'm happy to see you here. Congrats on the new granddaughter!!

Oh My Goodness!

I have taken over my old computer (which is actually a really good one, but I wanted a more powerful one!). I thought I would try the online web photoshop, but I felt as though I were swimming in water trying to scrap. It was awful! I am sure the app is a great app, but handicapped by a new computer, no fonts I wanted, no styles, the drop shadows looked terrible. I ended up installing photoshop on my old computer and fixing the mess I had made. I am not crazy about the page I scrapped, but it will do until I get things just the way I like them.

Sorry to hear about your bird pictures, Katherine. I had just downloaded the photographs off my phone and deleted them, so they are ONLY on that computer. There are a lot I wanted to use for challenges this month (which is why I downloaded them) but now I have to wait a month. I have everything on an NAS Raid system, so most of the things I have are accessible, just not conveniently so until I map drives on this computer. Still, things could be way worse. I am a little inconvenienced is all :)

Hi Di - I remember you from DSP. Welcome. Congratulations on becoming a Grandma.

I'm glad to be back! This feels a lot like home already.

Happy Tuesday to all.
I'm not yet caught up with reading since March 10...but now back home from our 10 day cruise to the Eastern Caribbean. Still need to download photos.

Oh, Yes! I remember you, Jill! I'll pop over to your gallery later and take a look.

Good morning ladies. Scrapping, dog park, dog grooming, laundry and groceries on the schedule today.

Michi - 10 day cruise to the Caribbean, I bet that was fantastic. I can't wait to go on our cruise next month (Panama Canal). What ports did you go to?

Lynnie - glad you got your old computer set up with PS while you wait for the return of the other.

I'm going to get more coffee and take the dogs out now. Then get dressed and scrap a challenge. It'll be a nice lazy morning.

HAGD everyone.

Rae- We did Vision of the Seas - Royal Caribbean. Ports: Ft. Lauderdale > a day at sea > Labadee {Haiti- basically a private sector] > San Juan > St. Maarten > St. John [Antigua] >St. Lucia [Basseterre] > St. Kitts-and Neves > 2 more days at sea...then back to reality!

SO many on our ship from everywhere!!! Many Many Many Canadians we met and up north US folks- chose to drive on down on account of the snows with risk of plane trips cancelled. Along with plane tickets prices.

For us a 'regular' drive although we took longer over to visit my cousin and stay the night. Coming home would have been 4.5 hours but we stopped for gas and a nice lunch.

Cruising has become 'different' since the pandemic. This was cruise #18 for me, #17 for hubby. I am a "One - Up" from him...... because.... I was "volun-told" to assist chaperone a High School Spring Break- on Carnival... to Mexico....:crazy

Michi - wow, that is a lot of cruises! This will be our 5th. We stop at Bonaire, Caribbean - Aruba - Cartagena, Columbia - Fuerte Amador, Panama - Puntarenas, Costa Rica - Huatulco, Mexico and Puerto Vallarta, Mexico. They cancelled Nicaragua (too dangerous). Hope they don't have to cancel any other ports. We have a long trip there - a 4.5 hr drive to Vanc airport, then 7.5 hr flight to Ft. Lauderdale and then onto ship about 3 hrs later. Coming home is a bit easier, we get off in LA and then a 3 hr flight back to Vanc and then 4.5 hr drive home. We'll be exhausted (but happy).

We want to do that one too! It was the cruise of 11 nights the trip prior to ours and the one after. Royal Caribbean Vision of the Seas.

We took the longer cruise (19 days) b/c my daughter is home to watch the dogs but once she is back to work, I don't think we'll do any more longer cruises like that, its too hard on the dogs. But another 7-9 day cruise hopefully next year will be booked. Not sure where yet. What were your fave cruises? I love to hear from others who have a lot of cruise experience.

Hopefully I'll be able to make the Zoom meeting. It is usually at our dinner time, so I'll see what happens. I'd LOVE to formally "meet" everyone!

We have a weekend getaway planned for May 5-8 to Disney World Animal Kingdom. We have a week vacation planned for last week in August to Universal Studios (need to get the bang for the buck on the annual pass).

And we are in the process of booking a week long cruise from New York to Canada on Norwegian Cruise Line.

All is well. My husband has almost completed his weight loss journey. Two years he lost 100 pounds. He wants to lose 60 more. Ozempic (for diabetes) helped him lose the weight. Next is my turn for a diet... maybe I'll be able to walk without pain if I do!

Thanks Lynnie! Are we having cameras on? I don't know that I have one on my computer, maybe I can see if I can do from my phone?

Yes, Camera's on. You can definitely do it from a phone or tablet. It is more fun seeing everyone, although you can join with no video.
