I have had a couple of extra blood draws in the past week. What was meant to be a routine check-up to get my medications reordered and my A1C checked to make sure everything was still going in the right direction has turned into going down the rabbit hole. They aren't sure why my blood is thicker than normal nor why some of the numbers are slightly elevated. On a positive note, my A1C is holding at right at the top of normal (which for having type 2 diabetes is a good thing), one of my other tests came back clear so that knocked out one worry, and I'm down about 50 lbs from where we started two years ago. I'll take the wins and I'm trying not to worry about the other.
Sending prayers and keeping you in my thoughts.

Hi everyone! I'm home now, but incredibly tired (maybe 4-5 hours of sleep?). I was discharged at about noon today, and they couldn't figure out what that episode was, though it might have been a mini stroke/TIA. I feel much better and positive about being home. I couldn't get out of bed without a nurse yesterday and today! Thank you for your prayers/well wishes, I definitely felt them! <3

Take care dear sweet Ane, keeping you in my thoughts and prayers, sending loads of love ❤️

Watch out for epilepsy too @AJsRandom , Miss Ane. Our daughter would have sort of TIAs like that and they discovered that it was actually focal seizures that she didn't even realize she was having until she had a grand mal seizure. Prayers for you, my lovie.

Hope they figure out what's going on Miss Susan @IvoryKeys . I can't stand blood draws. I have horrible veins. lol. Just annual tests are a trial! Good luck.

Off to play with paper! Have a beautiful Saturday. I'll share pix (assuming that I'm happy with the outcome... hehehe)

Love and Blessings

Nothing new here except my son has wrist issues again. This same wrist has been giving him trouble for years... double buckle fracture, finger sprain, exploratory surgery with a clean-out, a fracture by his pinky and now we are possibly aiming for another exploratory surgery in the same spot. Doctor visits never end for my family.
Husband had a respirtatory infection with a fever on Wednesday and went to urgent care.
I don't know if I told you that I was prescribed Cymbalta for my neuralgia. I'm going to start taking it today. Wish me luck that I don't get some of the side effects associated with this.

OMGosh! I had so much fun yesterday and I got all my cards done. I couldn't exactly remember what I'd signed up for. LOL. 16 cards, 9am to 4pm, including lunch from Jimmy Johns, they provide all the supplies except snips (small scissors) and tape runners. (and you use A LOT!)
These are all ones I would use for birthday cards. Some obviously, but others I could use for a wedding or congrats or thinking of you. Whatever.

These had specific sentiments with them. I could have chosen not to use their stamps, but some I didn't have and wanted to use and they were just too cute not to finish as is. Now that I know the game plan, I'll be able to wander the field and see which cards I'll want to complete first (the stamp sets I don't have at home) and the ones I can put off until I maybe run out of time at the end. It did take me all day and I was feeling a little pressure at the end to get everything done.

If you see one you like, PM me your address and date(s) and you just might get it!
Believe it or not...... I have most of these sets. smdangedh!

Happy Monday, all! I came in extra early today to finish folding, sorting, bundling, and labeling all of the t-shirts I'll give to our student delegates this week for Youth Tour. I need to get one of those plastic foldy things like they use in department stores! Ha! But all the shirts are ready to go...each student and chaperone get six T-shirts and a polo, so that was a lot of folding!

This week will be spent getting all of the million details finalized, packing, and getting all my chores/errands done. I'm also working to memorize all of the students names/faces so I can greet them by name when they arrive. I will be gone from June 14-20, so I look forward to catching up with everyone when I return.

Hi everyone, just caught up from the last week or so. I am trying to move on and often it is debilitating but I try to stay positive. I have embraced a lot of help from family and friends so life is going alright but just in a different way. I am trying to be creative where I always find peace & joy.

I am wishing for healing for those that need it and happy travels to those on the go.

Until next time, thanks for all your prayers and those that have reached out to me. :)

Your cards are beautiful, Carla. Thank you for sending me one, your kindness was much appreciated.

Carla, those are lovely! I'm super impressed.

I've been going down the rabbit hole of watching crafting videos. I have a Cricut that tends to get heavy use right before school starts (aka classroom decorating) but I want to combine my scrapbooking with my Cricut and do some things this Summer. I think I'm going to try my hand at making stickers. My students love adding them to their computers and water bottles.

Hello Ladies!
Ane- So sorry to hear about possible stroke, will be praying for you. HUGS
Michelle- Glad to hear that PT is working for you. Will be praying for you also.
Susan- Cleaning is so much fun... good luck. I have been down grading and cleaning everything out and getting rid of things I have not used in forever.
My son has to go to WI for work, and he will be going by my sister's, so I am riding along and get to spend 2 weeks with my sister. We leave Friday, not sure on the time we are leaving yet. I will not be on the computer much. I have a new Great Great Niece that I have not met yet, so looking forward to that, it is Letitia I have scraped a few layouts of her. She just turned 6 months. And looking forward to seeing my sister. I hate that we live so far from each other. I miss the days where we talked and had our coffee everyday together. Will also be visiting other family members who live close to my sister. I might not get my 10 challenges in this month. But we will see... LOL Well Ladies have a wonderful week! Happy scraping...

Shana, @breoni, looks as though you are as busy as ever. I did a couple of conferences with my youth group, about 15 kids, years ago and it turned my hair grey!! I also used to do overnight lockins. EEEK! (I can't believe your coworker is still there!) I hope you are feeling better and are over the worst of the sinus infection by now.

Alta, @Alta2014, I don't know if I mentioned how impressed I was with your weight loss. I lost quite a bit a few years ago, but put some of it back on. I am back focused on losing again. I hope your shoulder is feeling better.

Ane, @AJsRandom, wonderful to hear about your volunteer days, but also hope your dizzy spells don't get in the way! Glad to hear they were not able to find anything. Perhaps it is 'just' vertigo. I say 'just' because that can be very debilitating. oh - and happy belated birthday!

Michi, @msbrad, glad the PT is helping. I hope we get to see her little gift. You can generally screenshot and paste a picture into your comment!

Susan, @IvoryKeys, sounds like you have your hands full with your children :) It is hard when they are finally flying on their own, but struggling. I love my Cricut. I have used it a lot for creating stuff. I just created a bunch of photomats that are so cute. I was thinking they would look cute in a scrapbook!

Carla, love love love the cards. I should send a picture of mine sometime.

Karen, @Route66, sometimes the worst of the grief is after the first rush of activity dies down, all the 'work' that is associated with the end of a life is done, your friends and family have gone home and you are left looking around going "Now what!" Big hug.

Lynnie! That HAT is awesome! I'm so glad you shared that photo, as it made me smile! Hope you're all healed up and over the crud. I ended up going to the ENT yesterday and they inserted tubes in my ears to help with all the chronic sinus infections I've been getting. I seem to get sick EVERY time I fly, and my ears are in a lot of pain when we change altitudes... so this procedure is supposed to help with that. So we'll see this weekend how I get along. I'm also keeping a close eye on the news (which I do not like doing). The Washington, D.C., airport is closing for part of the day on Saturday to keep protestors from the parade away. There is so much unrest, and the safety of our student leaders is my top priority. So I hope we are able to have the tour that I've set up, but we may have to pivot and change plans.

Hello Everyone!
Lynnie- thank for the kind words on my weight loss. I am on the low carb keto diet, and I am loving it! I am almost off all my medications & less arthritis pain, I no longer take pain medicines... looking forward to not taking anymore drugs... And I feel so much better & looking forward to reaching my goal weight... I will never go back to eating sugar, starches, high carb veggies ever again. I have been searching for great recipes and there are so many out there... And most of them I love so far. And your craft work looks amazing!
I will be leaving in the morning to go visit my sister, so I won't be on much. I will pop in now & then... I will be riding with 4 teenagers so it will be a fun ride I'm sure... LOL 14 hour trip... fun fun fun!
Well have a great rest of the week and an even better week-end ladies! Will be back soon!

Breoni, I have a lot of hats. I don't know why because I don't wear them too often. The year Prince Harry and Meghan got married, we made fascinators for the fair. They sold out and we made loads of money. It all goes to charity, so it is fun coming up with new ideas :) We were in DC in December and had a great time. I hope the protesters aren't out; it makes it difficult to have fun. Hope the tubes in your ears help with the journey

Susan, you must share some ideas on your creations with the Cricut.

Alta, have fun with your sister!!

Hi everyone! I've been absent the last couple of days because of drama in Eren's life. Their boyfriend broke up with them yesterday, so I went over today and yesterday to be present for them. It's hard, because I have a big project for school due this Sunday, and it's difficult to be present and work at the same time. Oh I forgot to mention, they share an apartment with their now-ex, for at least the next 2 months. I'm hoping they can get out of that situation--it would be for the best. Hopefully I can convince them to come over here tomorrow so we can commune on the couch and not their bed, lol.

I just wanted to let y'all know I read everything and though I don't often comment on your doings, I am thinking about you! <3

Ane I sure hope you are coming along and feeling better. Oh dear on Eren's situation. I hope resolve.

Carla those cards are amazing.

I have what I think is the original cricket purchased used. Never used it as it can only use the things that came with it. I plan to get rid of it.

My back is coming along and I think my neck is involved too. Every time I think better, a set back. Hanging in there. I see the doctor on Monday.
Today the ladies from my church ministry of crochet /knit came to my house as Bible school was quite busy there. We had a nice time.

Thank you Lynnie for the screenshot tip...
. If it doesn't work, I'll end up placing it on a scrapbook page in the gallery. Unbeknownst to myself or my granddaughter the "Dance the Night Away" on the card was also the theme of the recital!!! Neither g'daughter or I like the original of You're TUTU sweet. Sarah said that was for babies, and she's 9! I did 13 of these for her friends. LOVE how soft the yarn is.

Karen and I watched "Ghost" with Patrick Swayze when she had a bad day. We would have a good cry in the sad bits and a laugh at the good bits and we always felt better. I am a big fan of cry it out. As for their boyfriend - so hard to keep living there. Perhaps they will spend more time at home.
