Hi chatters! Just wanted to pop in to let you know the broken sigi issue is due to the forum/gallery platform change. Most of them didn't transfer over correctly. You are more than welcome to fix yours if it is broken as it is pretty unlikely we will be able to "fix" them with coding. We are still looking into it, but it seems unlikely at this point.
I guess just consider it a fun opportunity to make a new sigi <3
I posted an updated tutorial HERE if anyone needs it :)

Sharon, you are so right about financial scammers on the rise. I arrange for a financial literacy course for our employees about twice a year... everything from investment basics to retirement plans. Even things for our college interns so they can get started out right. But wow...the stories we've heard! Crazy. It's so disheartening to hear of people losing their money to scammers and having to find employment when they should be enjoying retirement. We got one of those invites for a retirement seminar in our community... I knew it was going to be a load of crap, but wanted to hear what would be said. They played a video that focused on fear tactics and showed all of these trembling elderly people who had been done wrong. Of course, the company offering the seminar wanted us to give THEM all our money. Sigh. I was not impressed and we bolted before the end of the film... walking past an army of their staff armed with clipboards who were getting ready to swarm and descend on the attendees for a hard-sales pitch. Ugh. I was so disgusted. But at least I could share the information with my team so that they (and their families and friends) won't fall for what was being sold.

What's everyone planning for the weekend? I'm working on my last paper for my current class and helping hubby install a new ceiling fan in our bedroom. The current one is so squeaky I can't sleep with it on, and temperatures are on the rise and I really need to sleep with it on.

Shana, that's awesome how you do that for your employees. Financial literacy is so important.

We get those kind of invites in the mail and I toss them right into our recycle bin. They always want all your money, doesn't matter if it's a timeshare, a vacation club, or retirement plug. They always run long and the people are always so pushy. I'm glad you got out before the real pressure began. Yikes.

Our qi gong and yoga group celebrated the world qi gong and tai chi day, with a couple of sessions at the beach, the day it was sunny but a cold nice temperature, it was nice. I took part in a qi gong and yoga routine, so my work out goals for the month are reached, and I can focus in scrap some pages. I'm so glad that soon will be iNSD!
Beautiful weekend everyone!

I was able to stay home on Saturday and I worked on laundry, organizing my dresser, and even got a couple of pages done. Yay! Yesterday, we ran a bunch of errands... not super exciting, but it's nice to have those items off the to do list. This is going to be a hectic week as I have business travel Tues-Fri., then hubby wants to see some new movie as soon as my plane lands... then we have a surprise 60th bday party for hubby's BF. So it will be Sunday before I can catch my breath again. But it's all good. :) Hope everyone has a lovely week!

Well, my computer is still in the shop, and now my laptop is acting up a bit. I can't scrap with it because something funky is going on with my bluetooth mouse. grr. And that's what I wanted to do with this week off from school! Guess I'll pick up a book instead. If that isn't aggravating enough, I have my annual mammogram on Wednesday.

OK, done complaining. I do have plenty of books to read (y'all should see my TBR pile!). And INSD is coming! So looking forward to that. And I'm looking forward to my next class: Romanticism and the Industrial revolution. And it looks like I got 90% on my paper. That is good, but not as good as I expected. Oh well! :)

@breoni Shana dear safe travels and enjoy the birthday!

@AJsRandom Ane so sad that your computer is acting up, I wonder if you have a wire mouse, then you won't need the bluetooth, just and idea. So exciting that iNSD is around the corner :)
Romanticism and the Industrial revolution are pretty interesting themes!
Enjoy your reading time!

I hope you all are having a beautiful Monday everyone!

WOOHOO Jo! Y'all are amazing! I'm lucky to get a page done........... which didn't happen in April. Too much going on with work that I'm just exhausted at the end of the day and May is not looking any better right now. Cannot wait for summer to get here.

What's everyone got planned for this weekend? Are you taking advantage of the iNSD sales or participating in any of the related challenges? I just spent over $20 at the GS store. :) It was worth it! I'm going to try some of the challenges too, even though my desktop is occupied with transferring everything to its new 15 TB EHD. That ought to hold my digi supplies and pictures! I'll scrap with my new stuff on my laptop, if I have to, and I probably will.

I'll start a new class Monday--Romanticism and the Industrial Revolution. All about literature in the 1800's. 2/3 of my assignments are multimedia presentations. Crazy! AN the last is a paper I have to write as if I was answering a publishing call. Yikes! I don't actually have to submit the paper, but we are encouraged to.

WOAH Ane! That actually sounds fascinating! Good luck to you. What fun for you if you were to really submit your paper. I'd love to hear if you do that. You're a rock star. I'm sure you'll pull it out like a champ. You always do.
I am playing with paper, glue and scissors, as usual. Not really NSD, but close. Our team is having our annual "Nutso-palooza". We're the Nutso Average Stampers because our leader is kinda Nuts and today is our half-day, virtual get-together. We have 30 minute demos and chats from 10am to 130pm today. It is so much fun. Our members are from all over the US. There are usually about 30 of us online at various times during the day. We do something like this again at Christmas time and we have a monthly meeting, but that is only about 90 minutes and not as well-attended.
Tomorrow I'm outside playing in the dirt because on Tuesday "they" start footings for our NEW DECK!!! I have to move my Daddy's Violets and Lily of the Valley. They came from his mom's house and his birthday was in May so LoV was his flower and he loved Violets too. Those will be going over to the main garden, but into the "forest" area. (hehehe) Then we just have to move all of the "stuff" that's been waiting for the deck to be built that will go back ONTO the deck when it's done. Chores... gotta love'em! NOT!
Happy Weekend!

Love and Blessings
Carla

Carla, congrats on being able to build a deck! That's awesome! :)

Hey, Spicy Motivators! Coma and check in. It's a new month and I'd love to see how y'all are doing!

My desktop is fixed and not fixed. Most programs (ok, apps) I use can't be found on the computer. At all. Except Photoshop. I can scrap with it, but that's basically it. Can't write or check my email, etc. I am irritated, so I'm taking it back to the shop tomorrow to see what they did with my apps. GRR.

My youngest (Eren) got into their first car accident last night. They and the other driver are fine, but I'm sure the police will call it Eren's fault since they were trying to U-turn on a busy road. The car is missing its front bumper but is drivable. It's up to the insurance people now. If they total the car, I don't know that we'll be able to replace it--we can't afford 2 car payments.

OH NO Ane! I'm so sorry on all counts. I hope they figure out what's going on with your computer. ARGH! I can only imagine how irritating that is. I would be pulling out my hair. I hope Eren and their car is okay. Have them be careful because many injuries are silent and come later. Or at least they could be very sore and achy. And I really hope you don't have to replace their car.
I just heard that Anne had to buy a new car a couple weeks ago. This, after she bought a new car just about a year ago. That one died on her. I don't know if she intended on telling her father or if it just slipped out when he was dropping things off to her for the condo, but whatever the case, he found out and I'm sure that's why she didn't tell me. She knew I wouldn't be pleased. She spent three months last spring borrowing my car and then bought a HUGE Cadillac Escalade after I suggested something smaller and more economical (to drive and repair), like my Kia that she was driving. But no... don't listen to Mom.

How's everyone's weeks going so far?

Today is sunny, but it'll probably rain later. Tomorrow too. I spent some time watering our little garden and wondering about the foxes who seem to have taken up residence near our home. Wildlife control can do very little in this situation unless we find a den. Sigh.

My computer saga continues. They are supposed to get back to me by today but no word so far. In their defense, I do have a lot of data on that thing--over 1 TB. That takes time to move off then move back.

My allergies are pretty bad, especially the last week or so (and despite all the rain, what's up with that?). For my shots, I'm now doing a 1:1 solution. You'd think that would help, but nah. Guess I have to wait until all the shots are done. And remember to take my Flonase.

Hi All,

I just got back from Philadelphia and am now caught up on reading the posts. I am pretty worn out, and my to-do list is a mile long. I thought I would start here :)

I was at a Daughters of the British Empire National Council Meeting in Philadelphia. I had a great time and got lots of stuff done. I am glad to be home. I double-booked lunches yesterday, one with my DBE friends and one with my high-school friends. My calendar is crazy. Anyway, after chasing around today, I am now settled in and catching up on stuff.

Big hugs to you all
Lynnie

Hi everyone, For those of you that may know... sad news is that my husband, Doug of 39 years lost his battle with cancer on May 2nd. The service was on May 7th and was a beautiful and touching send off.

I wanted to express my heartfelt thank you to everyone who sent prayers and well wishes along his journey. I am deeply touched with the amount of love I and Doug received along his long and courage battle.

He rests peacefully now with our Lord and Savior.
