oh my dear, so sorry to hear about Yorkie, and all what you are going thru, keeping you in my thoughts. Sending loads of love dear lady.Hullo ladies, been rather spotty with the online-existence. I'm so burned out by the end of the work day I am struggling to do the "fun" things that require me to be in front of a keyboard. I'm also a little teary, as my "big" project right now is a memory book of the yorkie I lost in November. I miss doing stuff from travelling, but I'm not travelling since my partner can't come with me, and it's not as much fun alone, and I'm finding when I DO go places, I don't end up taking pictures any more. Whole big tumble of emotions. The flat I rent may or may not have been sold, and I have no communication from the guy who signed the contract with me, so I'm a little confused and annoyed by all that.
It broke mine so bad I had to remove it. I ASSUME it's because it was an old image and didn't get ported in the right way, I just haven't taken the time yet to fix that.Is it me, or are we missing more siggies than usual?
I am off to bed. I have been burning the candle at all ends and in the middle. I realized today that I had not filed my taxes and it was about the last day, so I rounded up the tax forms and did the taxes. I am so glad it is all done. I am off to bed now.
dear I am worry that you and your landlord are victims of a scam. Please when you receive those kind of letters, contact immediately to your landlord, or to the institution that sent you the letter. Actually those kind of matters, never are handle by letter, my logic is that the landlord would visit you along with the possible buyer and let you know what it's going on and the reasons, those kind of matters are always handle face to face, not by letter. I hope that you didn't payed the rent elsewhere, because for sure is a scam.(...)
The updated version of information I have is... that the landlord ALSO didn't know that someone would be sending me a letter demanding I stop pay him and instead pay elsewhere, so now I'm even MORE confused. (...)
Well, I know it's 99% not a scam because it was an official letter sent via the city with the federal stamp of approval. I did know that he had intended to sell the place- because his wife wants a house in the mountain, but the last walk through was over a month ago, and it had been a person interested in owning the house to LIVE HERE. It's sounding more like they sped things up where he had expected it to take more time. Today he sent me a screenshot of an email and phone number, so I guess today I'll need to make some calls.dear I am worry that you and your landlord are victims of a scam. I have read, from the last year, that there are scammers that have sent letters from banks, etc., and asking to people to pay elsewhere, and all of them are scammers operating in Europe, and all around the world of course, but as I'm living in Europe, I have read what it's going on in these neck of the woods. Another scam is that the scammers send you a message from "x" delivering company asking you to pay 1 or 2 euros, please never pay a single coin, don't either open those message or go to the link, because they'll empty your bank account, here the police has warning to all of us, that never pay a single extra coin for a delivering pack, simply when you order, you do all the purchasing and don't believe that you must pay extras, it's always a scam.
Oh my dear, I feel glad that isn't a scam, but I feel upset for the way that the landlord is acting, pretty weird to my mind. I hope that the one that bought the place is the one who wanted an investment and you can continue living there, and hoping that the new landlord is better mental state than the actual.Well, I know it's 99% not a scam because it was an official letter sent via the city with the federal stamp of approval. Even if I had WANTED to pay someone, they included no IBAN or contact information, so it was a pretty useless letter, and I am very nonplussed about the whole behaviour, including from the landlord. But then, he's kinda sketched me out for a few months, pushing me to buy the garage (an open small stone structure for CHF 145,000?!?!?) and saying that if I wasn't available to do a walkthrough then he would do it without me present, no problem. ... Um, no, that's a BIG PROBLEM. So now I have security cameras installed which notify me of movement when the door opens so if I am not home, I can see. It's probably more paranoia than anything, but I really dislike the way of operating. And I have no idea who bought the place or the terms, if it was the one who wanted an investment property or the one who wanted to live here, and so is going to expect me to leave even with a two year contract still in force.
Usually in Switzerland, the scams we get are an English-language phone call claiming to be the federal police because you've been accused of a crime and quickly answer to avoid jail. As if anything official would ever be in English, dai.
Enjoy your day dear lady!Just wanted to pop in and say hello! Happy Earth Day. It's going to be a lovely day here, so I'm hoping to get outside and go walk to look at flowers.
Thank God, sweetie! What I've been praying for... or at least some form of it.And an update on the is-it-a-scam house trauma... Lol.
I got a letter from the Swiss courts this morning outlining the full case against my landlord and the "penalties" including loss of properties so it's not JUST about mine. I also spoke to the neighbour (that he had in the past told me not to trust because she's a busybody) and she said he's already had two businesses go into catastrophic failure so she's not surprised that it's happened yet again, because when you try and play fast and loose with the rules, what do you THINK is going to happen?
The court fella called me yesterday and confirmed that the property will be going up on auction, but not sooner than a year from now, and there's no guarantee that the person buying would not be someone looking for an investment property where having a renter would be a net benefit. So I should be calm about everything- and I am. I knew I didn't necessarily want to stay here forever, but at least I know that I am "safe" for now and have the time to look for the real perfect place.
I really hope so! In the meantime. I am headed out to London on Saturday and then back for one day of work on Wednesday before leaving Thursday morning for a long weekend on the Tuscan coast. Because I am a serious person (who seriously needs vacation!!)Thank God, sweetie! What I've been praying for... or at least some form of it.
Now you can just relax for a bit and look around for something that suits you and your little family. Love you loads. Hope you can find the perfect solution soon. Take care.
What an odyssey! Well, at least you're clear on what's going on now thank God! and hey, you've got an interesting story in case that someday you would like to scrap it. I'll keep you in my thoughts and prayers. Have a safe trip to London my dear. Enjoy and have a great time on the Tuscan coast too.And an update on the is-it-a-scam house trauma... Lol.

I noticed that too, Mine had gone all screwy as it was an incorrect link - so just deleted & saved a new one to my photohost. I wasn't able to share the image link from the gingerscraps gallery for some reasonIs it me, or are we missing more siggies than usual?
