@imafishtank Robyn so sorry to hear that melatonin isn't working for you.

I bought some melatonin tabs yesterday, and I will try them soon, not today, I've some pages to scrap :), hopefully they will work for me, fingers crossed.

Today I found some church pictures, and I've got the idea to create an album about it, I don't have clear the idea, but little by little I'm going to scrap my pages. I accept ideas, they are always welcome.

Wishing you all a very beautiful day dear ladies

@Grace., you are amazing to have completed the challenges! WOW! I did manage to do some creative team work for April, but March was pretty sparse. In fact, I did more pages yesterday for next month's releases than I did the entire month of March! Oh my!

We had a relatively quiet weekend... we attended a local car show with some friends. I couldn't tell you one car from the next, but Randy said it was a good show. Then I tackled the dreaded bra shopping as I was in desperate need for new ones. Got that checked off my list. The rest of the weekend was spent scrapping, cooking, cleaning, and laundry. This is going to be a busy week for work for me as I have lots of events within the state that I need to attend. So lots of windshield time. I just downloaded a new audio book, so that will keep me company as I drive.

Hope everyone has a great week!

@breoni thank you so much for your kind words my dear, but you are very organized, I'm still scrapping some of my CT pages  what are you reading (listening)?, I love audio books. I'm reading still Normal people, actually it's taking me ages, because I have some many things to do, and not so much time to just sit down and read the book, next time I'm gonna buy the audio book instead of a paper book.

Hi everyone, I made it through the weekend! LOL!

It seems like every day I've read a different book. Yesterday and today I read part of Frankenstein, for school. I need it for a future class too, so I just went ahead and got a paperback. I haven't tried audiobooks yet, mostly because I find it hard to read and do something else at the same time. A long solo car trip may be in my future, so I'll consider it should I have to go. :)

I read a lot of speculative fiction. If you like that sort of literature, I'd highly recommend Project Hail Mary by Andy Weir. I also just got the newest book in the Hunger Games series (Haymitch's story). I include the YA reading lists as it's good for me to keep with with the teen's references who participate in my summer youth programs. :)

@Grace. , I got 8 of the 10 done. I'm telling ya- having the site down messed with me big time!!
@breoni I love audiobooks, too, but not a super fan of Hunger Games. I do love the Lunar Chronicles, though. It's probably the only scifi I've been genuinely excited about. Mostly I read biographies. When I have time. That's the thing I miss most about being a SAHM. I miss the reading and the studying and the learning and the napping.

@imafishtank 8 of the 10 are a good number.

@breoni dear thank you so much for the recommendation, I added to my list Andy's books.

@AJsRandom have a nice reading time. I like how Frankenstein offers a thought-provoking look at science and ethics, including all the questions about the responsibilities that scientists have to their science and experiments. The idea of creating something that ends up being more than the scientist can handle, and all of the social implications is so familiar to all of us, and it's good to think about all the ethical implications of advancements in science.

Wishing you all a very beautiful April dear ladies!

Happy April, everyone! Just curious... are April 1st pranks / jokes still a thing? Many years ago, I had a coworker who would plan a prank for weeks and just get so tickeled with herself. However in our office culture today, no one has said a word. The only "prank" is the severe weather that Mother Nature is going to throw at us later today.

Happy April!
We had a busy March for the family. I've been dealing with an ear infection currently at 6 weeks now. It is on the mend, but a miserable ordeal. G'son baseball. G'daughter- dance. Both doing well. I will be scrapping.....

Thank you Jan for the step by step in the new forum. I have saved it. I don't do change easily. Guess it is an age thing. LOL.

As for pranks - I saw 2 very clever ones today.
1. the dance studio announced they are putting in a pool with all the etc. April Fools.
2. Vitality Extracts - where I get essential oils from- announced a short time gallon jug. Golly I was excited...april Fools!!!

On another note, a very dead orchid plant that should have probably been in the garbage, I stuck it in the ground, as a joke. WELL....it has come back and now blooming!!!!!!
A scrapbook page soon.

@breoni Shana, I quit pranking when my youngest was born on April 1st. They were induced so it was not the day of my choosing. I resolved not to prank them ever, and their 2 brothers have been pretty good about it too. But when it's not April 1st, the siblings let 'em fly, lol.

@Grace. The ethics of Frankenstein are exactly what we are discussing this week. Just because you can doe something, doesn't mean you should. And he definitely shouldn't have. But then we wouldn't have such a good book! :)

@msbrad Sorry to hear about the ear infection! I'm glad you are enjoying time with the grands. I wish I lived closer to mine, but they are still young yet. Not involved in any activities like yours are.

In other good news, I made it on the President's List for the first quarter of 2025. I guess it's because of my GPA? I've never made it on any sort of list like this before.

Hey chatters, I wanted to make sure you all see this! I'm excited!!

@msbrad oh my dear, so sorry to hear about the ear infection, sending good vibes. So glad for the orchid

@breoni dear, I totally forget about the pranks, actually I never was so into 1st April pranks, I remember once, that I had a trouble with the car and I called to some friends asking for help, and they thought it was a 1st April joke  I waited for them a couple of hours till someone helped me.

@AJsRandom and @Grace. - my little brother is known to be a prankster. So when he called me on April 1st 24 years ago, he told me that his wife was going into labor. I knew that their baby wasn't due for 6 more weeks, and I knew the date... so I didn't believe him at first. But then I heard the panic in his voice and I drove the six hours to where they were living at the time. Sure enough, my nephew Jordan was born! He's an April 1 baby! He was in the NICU for about six weeks, but has been healthy and happy ever since. I got to see him yesterday... and learned that his family will be adding one more! So that will make a grand-nephew and TWO grand-nieces for me to scrap! LOL! My nephew's kids are sooo cute. They are blonde like their mama, but have his blue eyes!

Me too with the site down, messed me up.. I got confused with the new platform, but slowly coming around.

Loved watching Hunger Games.

Just watched Ginger's video. It is awesome.

Hey, did everyone survive the tornadoes and storms last night? I know several of you were in that neck of the woods? We lost power around 12:40 AM and it didn't come on until early afternoon. School was canceled. Work was rough today as none of us had slept much the night before and knew that today was going to be trying to fix all the jails that would be affected by the storms

The storms here (across the river from St. Louis) were not that bad. There was a series and they got progressively lighter as the night went on. The first was the worst but it didn't last long. Everything went ok, no loss of power, no hail. And we were able to pick up our new truck today! :)
