Hello, I'm not very photo but I like Images very much. I'm living in Canada and I don't like what are the new relations between my government and the USA government. Me, I like people from everywhere without distinction. I'm living with my daughter and her son. We have two little dogs and there is full of actions in our house. I'm happy to have scrapbooking to amuse myself. Bye! ❤️ ❤️ ❤️
Hi my dear and sweet friend!! so glad seeing you here ❤️ ❤️ dear sweet lady, I haven't watched the news for a while, but, I do believe here in GS every one of us is part of a big family, without distinctions and united by our passion: scrapbooking, I'm so glad, beyond glad "seeing you here
❤️

Good morning, all! Mother Nature decided to send us tons of wind and sleet yesterday. We got to play the fun game of "let's go find our trash can" as the wind took it for a stroll down our street with everyone else' trash cans. LOL!

I'm still working to learn the new forum, so that tutorial will be so helpful!

And yes, I agree with Grace that regardless of politics, GS is a family. It hurts my heart to see decisions that our "leaders" are making, and I do fear what ramifications those choices will have.

Hope everyone has a lovely day. Does anyone have fun plans for the weekend?

I have my Annual Council Meeting for the Daughters of the British Empire on Saturday. Ladies from Chapters around the State will come for a meeting. It will be fun, but so much work. I am on the State Board as well as my local Chapter Board. My chapter is hosting the site and the State Board is working hard on the meeting, so a double whammy for me!

Oh my, hope you found your trash can, here hard winds did the same last weekend, but by good chance the snow has built mountains, here and there.
I LOVE the new forum
You too have a lovely day and a great weekend dear lady!
My plans are pretty simple, a birthday to attend, and hopefully I will scrap some pages and watch a couple of movies and read a book.
Beautiful weekend everyone! ❤️

How are you all finding the new site ladies? Does it excite you...confuse you...frustrate you. All of the above for me at times, but I am slowly getting my head around it. I get lost sometimes but at least I can hover over my avi and it tells me where I am but then I have to figure out how I got there:D...except it now tells me I was last seen in Buzzbee's challenge thread, I feel like a fugitive 1742621661672.png . I really like the new emojis, having fun with those.....:D:D gotta be careful though.....I just typed "fun" in the emoji search bar and got a funeral urn and I'm still in Buzzbee's thread apparently 🙄

Chuckling over the bin going off on a social occasion with its friends Shana...hope you found it.

Lynnie, you (and Shana) are the hardest working, busiest people I have ever met. When did you find time to go to work, Lynnie??

I do love that we can do so many more little fun things in our posts like you said

I am slowly learning how to navigate the new forum and gallery. I guess it would be easier if I had more time, but there are just not enough hours in the day.

For the weekend, well, I am studying. There is so much reading to be done for lifespan development that I am having to devote almost all of my time to it. And I have to do a group project, which I am scared of because I have never done anything like that in an online class.

If you all don't mind, prayers for my mother and for my kid's grandpa. They are both in the hospital right now. Mom because she developed an infection at the incision site from her knee replacement last month. Their grandpa because he had a stroke the other day and is not doing the best. I think it has been very hard on him losing his wife in January when he already had some health struggles going on. I may not like the man all that much, but he is still Kathryn and Paul's grandpa.

I will be back later with the good stuff going on!

ALWAYS Dorann! ❤️

I like the new site, but lemme tell you, I STRUGGLED without it. I rely on the challenges so much. It's so much that some of my favorite designers are at another site, but I hate the way they do challenges, so I have pretty much given up on that site altogether. The way my lovely ADHD brain works, it was SO hard not to have them. I was more lost than I'd like to admit, but I hated scrapping while the site was down.

Enough whining, though. I have to tell ya'll about the exciting time we had 2 weeks ago- BOTH my grownup kids came home at the same time. It had been over 2 years since I'd seen my oldest and almost a year for my #2. The younger siblings could not have been more excited. We did some fun things and even did family pics, but I couldn't afford and actual photographer (I'm one), so I got help from a close family. Long story short, I now need to learn how to un-blurry photos. I worry that I"m going to have to take a week off from both my CTs in order to focus on that because I don't have enough time on the regular. I work 40-50 hrs a week and still have 4 kids at home, plus church responsibilities. I"m struggling, haha.

Robyn I HEAR you!! I live here at GS and spend most of my day here on and off, I mostly scrap ONLY for challenges, do not participate at any other site so when this one goes down, it feels like the bottom has dropped out. So happy to be "home" again. How lovely to get the kids together, that can be hard when they grow up and start to move away...my lot havent all been together (that means grands and ggrand) since 2018 ( the ggrand wasnt even born then)...I have to clone them in if I want a pic with us all together...lol. You sound like a very busy lady, like many others in this thread, not me, I have way too many unoccupied hours in my day now.

SO true Robyn. Even though I don't scrap as much anymore, I truly missed chatting with y'all and reading what everyone was up to. I do have to tell you, I actually created a scrapbook page, but you'll NEVER BELIEVE THIS!!! It was PAPER!!! Yep ladies, a good, old-fashioned paper glue, scissors scrapbook page. SU! is back into scrapbooking and our team has a month-long challenge and one of them this week is a scrapbook page. WOAH! What a blast from the past. I'll see if it will upload here.

We had a fun weekend. One of my dear friends got married when we were on our bucket-list trip last fall. So we made a point to drive to see them (about 6 hours) and spend the weekend. We got to meet his lovely wife, and they were such good hosts. The weather was lovely and it was a good visit. We left early Sunday morning so we could go home a different route. We stopped at the President Lincoln Museum and Library in Springfield, IL, (very well done), and the we stopped at the Walt Disney Museum in Marceline, MO. The museum was filled with artifacts and stories from Walt's family (mostly his younger sister). As we were leaving, I stopped in the gift shop where they had so many books about Walt Disney - many of which I'd never seen. So I selected one single book to buy. When I took it to the counter, a lady walked in... and she saw my book and made eye contact with the cashier. Then she approached me and told me she was the author!!! She signed my book and we visited for a few minutes... it was the neatest thing! Of all the books I picked up, of all the times we could have stopped... and she doesn't even live there (she lives in CA). Gotta love when everything lines up like that! :)
