Michi - you sound like my type of person. I have a crochet project with me every where I go. Currently, I'm on a plant hanger kick to go along with my obsession with having many different types of houseplants growing to hopefully transform my new choir room space into an oasis in August. The plant hangers that I'm making can hang on a wall with a small/medium plant. I had thought about hanging some from the ceiling but then I couldn't remember if the ceiling is really high in the choir room or not. If it takes a "cherry picker" to reach the ceiling then I wouldn't be able to hang anything from the metal braces that hold the ceiling tiles in place. I've put the plant hanger patterns that would work for that on hold for now. I'm making a stockpile of the wall hangers to use on gifts later.
My husband surprised me with a short trip out of town to a yarn shop yesterday, but had the wrong time for it to close in mind so we arrived with it closing in 10 minutes. The owner was so sweet and stayed for an extra 15 minutes while I decided on a few new skeins of yarn to try. I've set it aside to work on a dressy scarf for me and I may start that project soon.
I worked on repotting some plants today and discovered that the airplane/spider plant we bought about 3 weeks ago that just refused to dry out was so root bound it wasn't even funny. I had to set it outside tonight to try to dry it out enough to loosen the roots so I can repot it. In the heat that we have here, it will probably be ready later this evening or tomorrow morning.
