Hi everyone. I popped in to see the update to the site. It looks great! I've been busy, not scrapping much right now. I've been busy with jewelry design, lots of family and dog time and playing games most days of the week. Waiting for spring to come so I can get out birding again. Hope everyone is ok.

I too have been keeping busy. I had hoped to do some scrapping during the week that I had off between classes, but somehow I found myself busy with other things. It has been quite an adjustment the last month and a half to Paul living here full time and his adjusting to not going to in person school for the duration of high school. However, in exciting news, he got notification this week that he was awarded an additional scholarship to The University of Kentucky, which means that between the two school awarded scholarships and the state educational excellence scholarship, his tuition will be covered. I am so very proud of him.

Me, I am now plugging away on Life-span development. I took life-span in college 20+ years ago, but some things have changed and of course I don't remember it all intensively. So, there is a ton of reading for the class, and a group project (which is interesting since everything is done online).

And my friend's little boy. He is still in the hospital and will be for quite a while from what I understand. He has had seven surgeries and many more to follow. They just transferred him today from UK Children's Hospital to a children's hospital in Columbus, Ohio that is better suited for his specialized needs. I know it is killing Candy (his mom) as she is going with Mikey and has to leave Zaydin (her 10-year-old) with her grandma. Continued prayers for their family are appreciated.

Hi Rae, so glad seeing you around! jewelry design? sounds interesting!
you too have a wonderful weekend.

Welcome back to our beloved site! Thanks GS for upgrading, now just to find things.

Dorann, continued prayers for Mikey and family!

I finally had a few minutes to see the new site yesterday. I love it but had a hard time finding things, changing computer stuff is hard for me. My gallery has a duplicate of all my postings...anyone else have this happen? Will this be fixed or should I delete one myself?

Have a great weekend everyone!

I can't believe that it's been months since I last posted. Once 2025 started, life seemed to go on speed demon overdrive. Nothing terrible, just staying way too busy.

I thought I would stop by and catch up with all my scrapbooking friends before hitting the ground running for the last 10 weeks of school. I've been on Spring Break this week and spent the majority of it playing with plants and crocheting a bit. I seemed to have hit a scrapbooking slump. Part of that may be because I had to change cameras due to my Nikon shutter starting to act up. I love that camera and am really missing it! We purchased a different brand (not a well known one) just before Christmas, and either it's just not as good or I'm not understanding how to set it up to get the same quality of photos. I'm thinking it's just not as good of a camera and since I was spoiled with my Nikon, I'm just not happy with the results. I want to fall in love with taking photos again!

I may take my Nikon into a repair shop to see what they can tell me about what it might need. I'm terrified that the cost of repair may be more than the cost of getting a new quality camera.

I hope everyone is having a wonderful weekend!

Karen dear, you don't have to delete duplicate pages, the gallery is under construction and that error will be corrected soon. But please don't upload from this moment double pages. You can read all of this here

You have a great weekend too!

Hi I'm Lisa. Orginally from Ohio, born and raised. I currently live in Washington State. I will probably move back to Ohio at some point in the future. My daughter lives back in Dayton. I love where I live now, who knows what the future holds?

I love sports and I'm a big reader. It's really nice to be here.

Rae, please share more about your jewelry making. Doesn't have to be on a scrapbook layout, but we need details!!
I like to bead earrings, though these days fresh flowers on hoops is the big thing in Hawaii. Smells so good, too.
I tried silver smithing back in college, did not have the patience, I broke a lot of hacksaw blades.

I saw your page about making things with fresh flowers and it looked wonderful, @glee

@bcgal00 Hi Rae, I am so glad you popped in. It is lovely to see you. Share a few pics of your jewelry when you have time.

@dorannmwin Hi Dorann, I hope school is going well. It sounds like Paul is doing well. Prayers for your friend's little boy Mikey.

@Grace: Nice to see you, Grace. I love it when you drop in and chat.

@Route66: Karen, you need to update your siggie! I miss it. It is always hard changing things, new software updates, software changes, etc. but when things settle down you will love all the new features. We will be getting some of the older ones back as Ginger dives into the new settings. It is pretty complicated on the backend.

@IvoryKeys: Welcome Back, Susan! I can relate. I remember when my first Canon died. Since then I have been through a few and the last one cost a fortune. You will figure it out. In the meantime, it is lovely to see you here. Make sure you drop in and chat.

@msbrad: Michi, you may be lost, but you will find your way. Did you realize you have the most layouts on the site! Pretty impressive. Check the member tab! I am so honoured to know someone famous.

@jkpjlisa: Lisa, how lovely to meet you. You will love our little thread and our chatty scrappers. Come here to ask if you have any questions, someone will be around to answer.

@glee: Glee, I have missed you! Welcome :)

Happy St. Patrick's Day. I'm wearing a green Kermit the Frog shirt to work to honor the day. Ha!

Hubby surprised me this past weekend with a class at a glass blowing shop. We made glass pumpkins and paperweights. Well, the instructor did 99% of the work, but we got to help by picking colors and blowing in the tube for the pumpkins. Very cool! We should get the finished projects soon. Then on Sunday, we emptied out all the kitchen cabinets to get rid of stuff we no longer were using and to reorganize things. It's amazing what a difference that makes.

Happy St. Patrick's Day to all. May good and faithful friends be yours wherever you may roam.

Shana- my cousin was a glass blower. His 'real' job, was working for a medical, research, pharmaceutical company that made tubes etc for research. However, he dabbled on his own and created many many gorgeous pieces. Several I still have.

I don't remember if I mentioned it, but we have a forum for cool new things you have found in the forums:

For the weekend, I hope everyone has some fun plans lined up. Did any of you celebrate St. Patrick's Day with special traditions or activities? We didn't do anything much. I was lucky I remembered enough to wear green.

This weekend, my plans include attending the Daughters of the British Empire annual council meeting. There has been so much work getting everything ready, but I’m looking forward to it! I am on the State Board and this is my main job, so it has been pretty wild.

The event will kick off with meetings where we’ll discuss important matters and initiatives. Following the meetings, there will be a lunch, which is always a great opportunity to connect with fellow members.

One of the highlights will be the bagpiper, which adds a wonderful touch of tradition and atmosphere to the gathering. Additionally, the Commonwealth flag parade is always pretty cool.

It promises to be a lot of fun, and I can't wait for it to be over!

Lynnie @FormbyGirl - There's something to be said for a good bagpiper!!! One of my dear friends is part of a bell choir. For their Christmas concert, they included a bagpiper to some of their songs (husband of one of the bell ringers). It was the coolest thing ever!!! He also took time to explain about the art of playing a bagpipe. He laughed when he was asked if he could let the music fade out... he said the only way he could control the volume is if he started to walk away! LOL!

For St. Patty's Day, I got to wear my new Kermit T-shirt. We met with one of the nephews for dinner. He selected Korean BBQ. So we celebrated the Irish holiday with Korean-inspired food. HA!

Love that, Shana @breoni! Why not celebrate with whatever food you love!

I just remembered, though, after I was done babysitting, on Saturday, I went to a St Patrick's Day party. It used to be a tradition, but we haven't been in a long time. Rand is part of the Knights Templar (The Sovereign Military Order of the Temple of Jerusalem) in the USA. They do a bunch of charitable work. Anyway, one of his companion knights holds a St. Patrick's Day feast every year with Corned Beef, Cabbage, and amazing veggies. She also makes a ton of soda bread. It is fabulous. Anyway, we went. I got dressed up at Steven's after I was done babysitting and headed to the party from there. I did have a green and black dress.

The party doesn't last long 5-8:30 pm. We chat, have a sit-down meal, and then everyone brings a gift of a poem, a recital, information, a joke, or a song. Well, most people. I didn't. I was prepared to sing Molly Malone if I was called on, but I was not. Rand sang "The Flower of Sweet Strabane." That wrapped up the talent. He is really good and no one wanted to follow.

I didn't celebrate St. Paddy's in any special way. I just wore my lucky baby Yoda t-shirt at home and at the gym. Corned beef is OK, but I cannot stand cabbage, cooked or not. I can't remember what we had for dinner that day, but it wasn't either of those, lol!

For this weekend, we have an activity and shopping on Saturday. Then we have an inspector coming to check our roof for hail damage. We were caught up in that system of damaging storms that raged across the country last weekend. Sunday, besides church, hubby will go to choir practice and I will go to orchestra practice, both for the oratorio we're putting on in a few weeks. It's going to be awesome!

Besides all that, my mental health has not been great. My psychiatric nurse has increased the dosage of a couple of my medications to see if that helps me in that department and for better sleep. I haven't been sleeping well, which leaves me exhausted at night and hubby grumpy.

Hello, I'm not very photo but I like Images very much. I'm living in Canada and I don't like what are the new relations between my government and the USA government. Me, I like people from everywhere without distinction. I'm living with my daughter and her son. We have two little dogs and there is full of actions in our house. I'm happy to have scrapbooking to amuse myself. Bye! ❤️ ❤️ ❤️
