WELCOME BACK! New Forum & Gallery NEWS! {3/13/25}
We're thrilled to announce that our NEW Forum & Gallery are officially OPEN! We can’t wait for you to jump in and explore. The March Challenges are ready for you, so head over to the Cookie Jar to see how we're wrapping up February's fun and diving into fresh, new challenges for March.
Before we dive into all the excitement, I want to take a moment to say… THANK YOU.
The past two weeks have been incredibly overwhelming, but your kindness and support have truly blown me away. There were quite a few moments when I found myself in tears - sometimes from stress, but more often because of the amazing outpouring of love and encouragement from this wonderful community. You’ve reminded me just how special GingerScraps really is, and I’m so incredibly grateful for each and every one of you.
Now let's chat about a few things!
Our Win Your Wishlist contest is BACK! Don’t miss your chance to win your entire wish list - yes, your whole list! Be sure to visit [this thread] for all the details. The deadline to post your wishlist is March 16th, so don’t delay!
We are still working behind the scenes, and you may have noticed some strange characters in past gallery credits and comments. I'm not sure yet if that's fixable, but hey - if that's the worst of it... I can handle it! The most important thing is that we had no data loss - and that had me on pins and needles!
I'm absolutely LOVING everything so far!
A quick note about the gallery:
Right now, you can only upload to one gallery category at a time. We're working on installing an add-on that will allow you to select multiple categories. Until then, please choose the category that best applies. If your layout is for a challenge, upload it to the correct challenge gallery. If your layout features products from mostly one designer, upload it to their gallery.
You'll also notice some changes in navigation - the Shop, Blog, and other key links are now accessible through handy icons in the top right. The blog runs on WordPress, and there's a link to our Instagram. If you’re not already following us there, you should - our Instagram is beautiful, thanks to @AmaneseFe
And don’t forget to subscribe to our YouTube channel! While it’s my personal channel right now, I have big plans to share more scrapping videos this year, so stay tuned!
WAIT … did you see that?
I just used the @ symbol to tag AmaneseFe - how cool is that?! This awesome new feature allows you to tag people in posts, comments, and gallery comments. When you reply to a gallery comment, you can tag the person or simply reply, either way, they’ll get an alert. This is such a fun way to keep our community connected! There’s a limit to how many people you can tag per post (to prevent spam), but I love this new feature.
The DM system (direct message) (formerly called PM) has also had a major upgrade! Now, conversations are organized in a flowing thread, so much easier to manage and follow.
If you are getting too many notifications, you can simply "unwatch" anything you do not want notifications about.
I’m planning to make some tutorial videos in the coming weeks, but I still have a lot to learn myself. I want to be well-informed before diving in.
In the meantime, if you have any questions, feel free to ask here — I'll do my best to get the answers for you!
Thank you again for your amazing support and patience — you’re all incredible!
Let's have fun with some of those new emojis too!
