Michu, I have the CT blankie on my site. I will send detailed instruction on how to get your siggie to work properly with multiple lines :) later though. I have had a long day and I have a cup of tea and my feet up :)

Well I am home from the Zoo Run 5K. We had a beautiful day for it, chilly but sunny. My friend and I went with her 3 year old so we briskly walked it with a stroller in exactly an hour which we thought was pretty good! I did take my camera so I am excited to see my pictures. Hope everyone else is enjoying their weekend!

I wish that I could say that I was enjoying my weekend, but I've not even really had one. I volunteered to work today because it was close to home and one thing led to another and somehow I ended up being the supervisor for the day. To add insult to injury, there were a total of 8 people scheduled and only 4 showed up. I was able to get a little bit of extra help later in the day, but still it ended up being a 13 hour day for me.
I am exhausted and I've not gotten to spend any time with the kids all weekend.

Oh gosh, Dorann, that makes for a long, intense weekend! I hope you get some recovery time for yourself, soon.

I have been running errands all yesterday, but we found a really good Napoletano pizza place, so that's really happy. Today we are home, but I need to clean the house and get the guest room ready for my bestie. It's a lot of laundry to line-dry. Yorkies are mad at me because I washed all their bedding and pillows, and them, too. Not happy, mum!!

Dorann, I hope you are able to find some time to relax and spend time with family soon!

Yesterday was my day out of the house. Today I need to write up parent/teacher conference sheets and continue the project I started the other day of organizing my children's books that I store at the house when not in use in my classroom.

Katherine, I so enjoy your nature LO's and happy you iwll have more time to do that soon.

Lynnie, Your siggy is adorable. I am hoping Survisor will be at the end of the month...off on holidays today and will not be able to scrap.

Sylvan, Enjoy your Australian visitor...I do hope their country is restored from such horrific fires.

Kelley, We love games too. Just finished a couple months of playing on-line local bingo where the jackpot got up to 640$...it was finally won last week with a whopping 26 winners.

Elaynna, Good on you with the 5K run.

Dorann, Hoping you are finding some time to relax after that long shift, maybe even so me scrappy time?

Michi, Glad you are feeling better now and spending time with g'kiddos.

I am off later today on my 2 week "hot spot" vacation and will not have a laptop with me. so I may be MIA. I spent most of yesterday downlaoding trip stuff and I am now packed and ready. Take care everyone!

Karen - Have a great vacation!!

Dorann - Bummer, I'm sorry you got roped into an exhausting weekend shift. I hope you get in some good relaxation time and time with your kids today!

Yesterday I check very much off the to-do list, but I did get in some good R&R, some scrap time, and played some games with the family. I got bad news yesterday also - someone claimed my daughter on their tax return fradulently, so I have to go through the whole process with the IRS, and it also causes me to have to print and file my return which means it will be at least 6-8 weeks before I get my refund rather than 10 days for e-filing. I'm sure it will get resolved since I'm the only one who can claim her (it was probably someone who just accidentally transposed their numbers), but it's frustrating because I am going to use my refund toward purchasing a new (used) vehicle to teach my son to drive with. That'll be delayed now which is too bad.

Today, I plan on being very productive, but also relaxing a bit more with some scrap time!

Katherine, it boggles my mind how you keep up with so much journaling. I can barely keep up with a paragraph a day in my planner.

Karen, I hope you are back in time for Survivor. It is a lot of fun scrapping for it, isn't it :) I really enjoyed the two years I participated. I am still up in the air for this time, but I might. The topics are always so much fun and sometimes it really is a challenge to get the perfect layout. Thanks for the comments on the siggie. I think I might have to upload it. A few people have actually asked about making comments :)

Sylvan, you will have so much fun with the Bestie and I am sure the Yorkies will forgive you for bathing them. I can't even imagine line drying that much laundry. I remember those days from my childhood, but since I moved to America, we have always had a dryer. We do have lines here at the village where I live and I use them from time to time. The sun 'bleaches' the whites much more than drying them does.

Kelley, I hope you get the tax stuff sorted out. It is such a royal pain when you have to deal with something like this. Other than that, it sounds as though you had a nice day scrapping and relaxing. I always plan on having productive days, but they are not working out that well right now. I sit down to scrap and the world passes by me :)

Elynnia, it sounds as though the 5k run was fun. I will troll the galleries and hope to see a few layouts soon, if not already. I

Dorann, It sounds as though you have been working a lot lately. I do hope you get yourself some down time with the family. I know you appreciate the extra funds from the work, but down time is important too.

Michi, you are always so busy :)

I have been scrapping my heart out lately. I do enjoy scrapping more than cleaning. I have to do laundry today and I just keep procrastinating.

I don't know! I UL a new one for the challenge and it took the blinkie one away. That's what happened when I UL the blinkie of CT...my regular one went away. Not sure how to have both appear like yours.

I do enjoy scrapping more than cleaning.
So funny, but oh so true!! I'm right there with you.

I actually got a lot done today - mostly animal care. I don't know if I have mentioned it in here, but we keep lots of critters - reptiles, rodents, kitties, etc. It is a lot of work to change all of their enclosures and keep them all watered and fed. So we went through and changed everyone's bedding today! We just finished, and I have veggie burgers and fries in the oven for dinner, and then finally I can sit down and scrap! I did take a quick break and make my new siggie though!! I'm so happy to have finally got that done :)

I am definitely planning on getting some down time here coming up. I was trying to pick up extra shifts for a few weeks because of the financial mess that I had gotten myself in with Christmas and with not having enough hours in the later part of last year. I think I have it all figured out now and because of that I am opting to not work any Saturdays for a while. Saturday is traditionally my full day off and I'd been picking up open shifts. Well, after three of them going extremely long, it is going to be a little while before I agree to one again. Now that is not to say that I won't help someone out if they are in a pickle, but at least I won't be stuck if I have something else I need to do.

It is a great siggie, too :) Those animals must be convenient to have around when you want to scrap some different kinds of pictures! Especially with the kiddos.

I definitely think you need a regular day to yourself, to kick back and relax and get some stuff done. Working too many hours is not good for the soul.

Last night I went over my friend, Pam's, for the evening to watch the Oscars. I am not a huge fan of the them, really. I think too many people make political statements or they just end up listing a bunch of people I have never heard of. It was fun watching it with Pam though. We were dressed in really comfortable clothes and wore tiaras :) We discussed the gowns and the films we had seen. We started a little late, so we were able to fast forward through a lot of the commercials, although we did watch the M&M ones - they were sweet (no pun intended!)

Good morning ladies. Had a busy wk and another busy one ahead of me. Lots of family stuff, desk work, chores, mtg with accountant later this week and getting all the tax stuff ready is a big chore (I am never organized enough about it throughout the yr). I will fit in some scrapping but less than usual as I won't get onto the computer as much as I normally would.

Read the book club January recommendation and it was good (come check out the monthly book club challenge if you haven't already seen it). I just started another good one....Willing To Die by Lisa Jackson. I always start my day off with a bit of reading with my first cup or two of coffee.

I'm getting to work now but wanted to pop in and say hi.

Lynnie - Watching the Oscars wearing tiaras sounds like lots of fun! I haven't watched them yet.

Rae - I used to participate in the book club. Maybe I'll have to jump back in. I don't have a ton of time to read - I normally have trouble just making it through the Amazon First Reads book each month!

I got most of my work done for the day, so now I'm watching TV and hanging in the forums and FB for a while. I'll probably scrap a bit and then get my evening chores done. :)

Oh, and I was going to tell you ladies about the Facebook group I found!! I just joined yesterday. It is called Women Gifting Women, and basically it's a group of women who are constantly chatting away, playing games, asking questions about eachother, and also buying things for eachother off Amazon wish lists! I'm addicted already. I just love giving gifts :)

Today was a better day at work. It involved a lot of driving (in the rain which I hate) but not a lot of physical work so that was a good thing. However, I think that I've got a cold but I am hoping the worst of it is passed.

For the rest of the evening I am going to hang out a little bit more in the forums and perhaps open the old photoshop and do a little bit of scrapping as well.

Good morning ladies. Today is busy...desk work, CT work, getting tax papers together, figuring out what to have for dinner and get out for a few walks with Taz (in the rain).

Watching Bachelor as I work (I put it on my laptop as I work on my PC).

Kelley - that is awesome about the ladies group. Have fun with it.

Dorann - hope the sick feeling passes quickly.

Hope everyone is having a good day. BFN I'm getting back to work.

I only have two more days to work this week so I am completely looking forward to my long weekend. We don't have any big plans for Valentine's Day but the extra day off is sure going to be nice. Then on Saturday Kat and I are going to go to a friend of ours gender reveal party. She wasn't supposed to even find out what the baby is until the party (her sister and her niece knew) but today at the doctor it was ruined for her and then I took a guess and I could tell I was right by her reaction. Still it is going to be fun though.

I take a little bit of time to think about it and I can't believe that my own daughter is getting so close to graduating high school. We've been scheduling more college visits so that is something to look forward to. She has three main schools that she is interested in and we've visited one already and have upcoming visits for the other two. And there is another that I want her to consider because of a scholarship that they are offering (it is free 4 year tuition to all graduates from her high school if they are accepted to the university). I think she needs to at least consider it but convincing her to give it serious consideration is tough. It used to be her first choice but she doesn't want to go there now because it is in the same town that her paternal grandparents live and she is afraid that they would try to hold her under their thumb should she decide to go there.

Well I finally finished writing conference sheets for our spring parent / teacher conferences. I didn't think that would ever get done! We have one more normal day of school tomorrow and then a half day Thursday with conferences in the afternoon and the Friday is just conferences. I am hoping to head out to the lake when I am done and enjoy the weekend!

Dorann, My mother would tell you to enjoy the school visits for her! She was so mad that I didn't want to go visit any schools, she had high hopes for those types of trips when I was in high school. Me, I applied for early decision to Lipscomb which was right down the road and didn't look back! :)

Well, I typed a nice long answer to everyone and it failed to post - so consider everything commented on :) Sorry - I don't have the energy to type it again...

Trying to have a relaxing evening. The doctors are inducing my niece at midnight and I am so excited for her. My brother is a happy mess :) Hopefully tomorrow I will have a layout of a new baby scrapped!

Who induces at midnight, that’s just cruel.

Hi everyone, how’s everyone doing?

For sure ! Apparently she is doing just fine. Her mum is there, my brother (her dad) is there and her husband is there. She is a trouper! My brother is so proud of her. No baby yet, but early hours. I would like to go after work, but I have Bible Study and I can't see the baby anyway because I have not had a TDAP booster. Who knew that you couldn't see a baby without a TDAP booster!! I sure did not and no one asked when I was visiting my grandchildren, thank heavens. I have an appointment for the shot on Friday, but it will be two weeks before I can see my new great nephew. Madi is checking to see if we can take photographs (as in photoshoot!) as long as I don't handle the baby.

I have not seen my local grandchild in a month! I was gone for two weeks at the funeral and came back with the worst sinus infection ever, ears infected, all kinds of icky stuff. I could not give it to Bruce, so I have not seen him. I am going over Saturday, spending the whole day with my sun, the evening with Bruce and Nessa, staying over and spending Sunday there. I should get my Bruce fix. His other grandmother has him during the day on Saturday, so I won't see him until Nessa comes home with him.

Good morning, ladies. I've been busy getting tax papers ready. Every year I say that next yr I will be more organized and nope, didn't happen...ugh. So it takes me twice as long to find stuff since I haven't got a good filing system. Maybe next year.....

We had a big bear in the yard last night. When I opened the door to let Taz out in the late evening I saw what I thought was a very large man sitting on the garden step and then I realized it was a big bear. Taz went flying at him, barking, just inches from him, lunging. Hubs and I stook on the porch trying to call him back but he was in full protective mode, telling the bear to leave our yard. So the bear did. He started at Taz as he barked at his feet, then stared at us for a few minutes as if it to say....but I don't want to go....I like this spot. He turned around and looked like he was going to sit down again but Taz went ballistic, not wanting the bear to sit down so....he turned around, went to the corner of the fence and walked right through it. So, our new fence that we had to replace a few yrs ago b/c a bear destroyed it, has now gotten a broken gate that will need to be replaced, he broke it into 3 pieces and not repairable, then he broke through three planks of the fence at the other end, when leaving. Ugh. So more repairs to do. I wish the bears would learn to go over a fence not thru it. So that was our excitement last night. I was so worried the bear would swat Taz for barking at him but luckily he didn't. He's my fearless little doodle boy.

Lots of desk work (again) and taz prep to do for our appt tomorrow but things are coming along. I'm looking forward to an extra day off this wkend. I've got a baby shower to go to but plan to fit in some scrapping and reading time over the wkend. Can't wait.

Lynnie - congrats on the new baby coming to the family (last night?). Don't know what that booster is, we don't need that here, never heard of it.

I've got a CT page finish up before starting desk work, so I'd better go. Have a good day, everyone.

The bear sounds terrifying....

The TDAP is Tetanus, Diphtheria and Pertussis. It is a booster for those who have had the shots in their younger years. If not, you have to have the actual shots. Most of us had them as a child. Well, I actually don't know, it was that long ago. Perhaps not in shot invention history haha.

Baby is on the way - contractions every four minutes, but only 2cm dilated, so a while yet.

Has anyone tried this? Someone tried and it did not work quite the way she expected. I followed the instructions, but I know what I am doing. I may have missed some steps that are obvious to me, but not to anyone else....

Hello everyone! I have a few minutes so I thought I'd sit down and update. I haven't been very busy- heck, I just got my car back after we drooped it off at the shop Thursday night, so I couldn't go anywhere. But tomorrow we are going to New Orleans to visit my brother-in-law and family for some (family friendly) Mardi Gras stuff. We're staying until Monday morning and it should be a good weekend. I just hope it doesn't rain all weekend as is forecasted!

I need to do a layout with my bathroom pics so y'all can see my remodeled bathroom, but it will have to wait until next week. We've got a church activity and packing to do tonight. I hope everyone has a great holiday weekend! :)

Elynnia, all of the colleges that we are going to visit are the ones that she is interested in so it is as much for her as it is for me. I have such a cool idea for next year when she is doing her applications and making her final decision but I am going to have to start it in my own time. I'm thinking like signing day for athletes and getting a shirt from each of the schools that she is accepted to and then sitting them in front of her so she can pick one up to show everyone her final choice.

It is raining here again. I've asked around if anyone knows how to get in touch with Noah because despite the fact that I've not gotten all of my financial issues worked out, I really need to put in an order for an ark.
