Journaling reads: Is not just all about the students. Without special caring teachers, young children and teenagers would not want to be in school. This is Katie, an ESL (English as a Second Language) teacher in her 3rd year of teaching high school in Alabama. She enjoys teaching her students and also learns from them as they do speak various languages. Most of her students are Spanish speaking and the past summer she went to a Guatemala Spanish school for a one on one class to further her speaking skills. She also helps them celebrate their heritage and incorporates their special days into her teachings.

Beuatiful tribute to this teacher; she sounds like she really cares about her kids to spend a summer brushing up on her Spanish. I like the photo of her in the mirror and the school elements going down the side of the page.
