Journaling:
Emperor Akbar founded Fatehpur Sikri in the late 16th century and moved the capital there from Agra. It was abandoned 10 years later, around 1585 and was completely deserted by 1810. Red sandstone is the primary building material. It is a remarkably preserved testament to Mughal architectural prowess and a window into the past.

Beautiful photos, interesting info, gorgeous masking as always, lovely placement of the smaller pics(with you looking so glamorous with the crimson sari/pashmina/scarf draped so artistically around you) You have used so many Karen items to create this lovely work of art...a tribute honouring her for her retirement.

What a beautiful and fascinating page! If I was ever going to be a traveler again, this would be on my bucket list! Thanks for showing this beautiful city.

Oh my goodness, that is such a lovely piece of architecture. I wonder why it was abandoned such a short time later. The masked photo is delightful and the use of the single cluster is perfect to go with the page.
