Monday, July 14
Mark and I had a nice day today. It could have been better, but next time! I picked up his glasses, picked him up from the group home and took him out for lunch. We went to Popeye's. There wasn't much I maybe one of the worst fast food experiences ever. There was not a single thing on the menu that I could have. the place was not that clean, either. When I went home, Rand and I watched Centennial and I got ready for DBE.

Tuesday, July 15
I started packing everything up for DBE right when I got up. I got to the clubhouse early and we were all set by the time the ladies arrived. The meeting went well and Glynis's presentation on her life as an army nurse was so good. The Coronation Chicken sandwiches I made disappeared quickly. After I got home, Rand and I watched another episode of Centennial and I got an early night. I have to be at Steven and Nessa's extra early in the morning.

Wednesday, July 16
Steven missed his train, so he drove into work and it was just me and the kids! When Bruce was done with online school, he wrote a story on Sonic and Brucey's adventures. I was pretty impressed. After, we sat and read from Roald Dahl's BFG. He is not into it yet, but I think he will be. Scarlett was being her usually precious, bossy self. She will go far in life with that determination and strength. We have to find a balance between her strength and my sanity!

Thursday, July 17
The kids played a lot by themselves today. I love listening to them with their little imaginations making up amazing stories. Bruce and Scarlett played with clay a lot, too. I think, though, it was mostly Bruce making clever little sculptures and Scarlett messing them up. She was trying too, though. Bruce is pretty good with her most of the time. We went to bed really early, though.

Friday, July 18
Bruce and I worked really hard on greater than and less than today. I used Oreo cookies to illustrate the concept. He still struggles when it is bigger numbers, but we are getting there. He is also working on whole numbers - that seems pretty advanced for a five-year-old in first grade! I stayed the night, though, because I was leaving for Pam's in the morning and it makes sense to do it from here.

Saturday, July 19
Pam and I went out for breakfast right when I arrived. We ate at an amazing little French place in downtown Temecula. I had a croque madame. It was the best I have had in America! Later, we went to the Briar Rose Winery for a wine tasting and charcuterie board. We had such a beautiful day together. She is a priceless friend and I treasure her. I left in time to get home for church, but hit traffic on the way and barely made it. After, we went to Roderigo's for dinner. We ended up watching American Idol reject auditions on you tube, which was funny.

Sunday, July 20
I decided to do more than sit on my butt today and worked on organizing the balcony. Now the living room is a disaster! I still have a lot of work, but I have made a good start. After, Rand and I watched "Day of the Jackal" with Eddie Redmayne. We made it through five or six episodes. We were pretty wiped when we were done.

Your weeks are so busy and so entertaining, I love reading about your activities even though I feel exhausted by the time I finish the read :). This page design is so neat and crisp, you have worked such a lot of info, photos, decorations into it and it still looks neat and crisp and clean. Love the text on the lines (wink)

You are always so very busy, and you have discussed it beautifully. It is great that you had time to spend with Mark and also with Bruce and Scarlett.
