Hope all is well with everyone. I had a busy weekend... (don't I always
)
Friday I had a Chiropractor appointment and went grocery shopping, then spent the day scrapping and time with my mother. I did not want to do a thing!
Saturday, I took Belle (our dog) out for a loooong walk, then we had lunch with a high school friend of my husband and his wife. They were godparents to our middle child, James, and were very faithful. It was lovely seeing them after all this time. We spent about 3 hours catching up. After that, I went straight to a friend's 60th birthday party.
Sunday we went to church, then went to Steven and Vanessa's house (son and DIL) to visit them and my daughter, Karen, who lives with them. They just bought a new house and moved, it was very exciting. I went last weekend also. We cooked and did a jigsaw puzzle. I had bought Nessa an instant pot for her birthday. We kept it at the house until they moved, so I took it over there, took the ingredients, and showed her and Karen how to use it. We were also dealing with the fact that the gender reveal party for Steven and Nessa's baby has hit 75 people, way too big for the venue we had selected. We were trying to find somewhere to move it. That was a little stressful, but it was still a lovely day.
It doesn't seem as busy as usual, but it sure felt busy

Haha Lynnie, I always feel like I'm repeating myself when I saw I had a busy week LOL! It's true though!
This week is a little stressful for me. My vehicle broke down, and I found out it is going to take extensive repairs, so I am at a place where I'm either going to have to decide to go through with that or wait a little while to save up for a new (to me) vehicle. I'm leaning towards just waiting. I don't want to put money into my old clunker when it probably won't live much longer anyway. Decisions, decisions. Aside from that, I am getting ready to move in a couple of months (after the school year is finished). I have lots of sorting, decluttering, and organizing to do so that I don't end up going nuts with a huge mess when we move. I'm not a very organized person by nature, so it takes some focus haha!

Lynnie - my hubs is on the "anything diet" too LOL. I eat low carb but he eats all carbs, fat and sugar LOL.
Took advantage of the sale today and stocked up on some a bunch of kits. Looking forward to scrapping the new challenges. Monday is usually my busiest work day for me (I do medical transcription at home) but hope to scrap a page later.
It's sunny and warm here today so my lunchtime walk with Taz was really enjoyable.

Kelley - I hate the stress of car trouble, we luckily bought a truck a few years ago but I want to downsize before I retire in 2 years and can't decide what I want.

Allergies are rampant here! And sadly to share DH got his first ever dose at age 71. SO it is official, pollen allergies can happen. Just thought I would share here prior to it being "official" on FB....
He did go to the Dr. today and hoping relief comes sooner than later.

Lynnie, I'm away from my grandson for the weekend and I can't wait for Monday to get here so I can see him! I swear, I'm addicted to the little fella! I'm pretty sure he likes to spend time with his grandma too.
Spent some money at the sale. I tried to be sensible, but it's so hard when things are on sale like that, lol!
Had to go to a pre-op appointment today. They have to move a nerve near my elbow because it is damaged and has caused me to lose the feeling in my hand. It's in my left hand and I'm left-handed, so it's been really inconvenient. I'm having surgery on the 11th. They said it will take two to three weeks for me to be able to use my arm, but I'm hoping it won't take that long.
My voting is over. I had such a hard time. I have no idea how long I spent in the gallery. It was fun going through everyone's layouts. It was hard choosing who I wanted to vote for, but I did. I'm going to miss the challenges, but I haven't been doing the regular challenges as much, so I will definitely go back to doing them.

i was good and stuck to only wishlisted items. House insurance went way up and it was due this week. I hadn’t budgeted quite as much as the increase. There is no rhyme nor reason to insurance rate hikes. It could be from all the fires and floods Alberta has had.
My youngest was suspended today. Le sigh. We came to an agreement with teachers on Thursday at parent teachers and today the first day back the teacher broke the agreement and my son reacted to that. He has such a hard time with seeing anything except black and white. He sees no shades of grey. Today was light it up blue for autism.
My daughter had to ggo to the hospital today for an ekg then to her doctor. The high uv had her really nauseous, and feeling ill, hived out in a rash by the time we got back. I bask in the sun and it makes her so sick.
I voted, really really hard to do. Such beautiful pages. Congrats to everyone that participated.

Just thought I would pop in and let you know I am still alive. Life has been busy but I think it might slow down a bit in a few weeks. I have been trying to get my life back together. I did not miss the sale yesterday but had to delete everything and add them back in order to get the free with purchase kit. I guess I just added the kits too early. I hope everyone is getting over the illness and sadness. Thanks to all for the support in the survivor challenges.

Well ladies I see I wasn't the only one who had trouble with not spending much in the big sale.... I went a little over board so will have to cut back on buying the next couple months... LOL we will see how that goes... our designers are just toooo goooood at making all these wonderful kits... Gotta Love Them! Lynnie did you totally miss the sale... if so you miss a good one... Well I need to get some scrapping done, I haven't started on the challenges yet, so need to do that... I have been having a lot of pain the pain meds are helping some but they make me sleepy so try not to take them to much, trying to keep my mind on other things, but not to easy at times, waiting to see the specialist to get something done... Well you ladies have a great day! and I'll be back soon... HUGS

I took advantage of the sale but could not spend much but did spend enough to get the free collab kit.
Yesterday I finished an online course I have been doing on "Understanding Dementia" to help me with the volunteer work I do in Aged Care. I gained so much knowledge from it that I have enrolled in the next one "Preventing Dementia" next month. These are free courses run by a the Tasmanian University here in Australia as they have a world re-known department - Wicking which is also a research department for Dementia.
So until the next course starts I hope to get stuck into doing some challenge pages.

Sending healthy vibes to all who need it. Allergy season is upon us. But I'll gladly taken a stuffy nose and watery eyes if it means some warmth and sunshine. The last wk has been gorgeous and I was able to get out to get some photos of the neighborhood as it starts to bloom. The rain is coming for a few days so I wanted to get out and get some cherry blossom photos. Lots of desk work today so not much scrapping, just some CT work, personal stuff will have to wait a few days and then can start on the challenges.

Busy day at work today - started early. Went out to lunch with the owner of the company and an old friend of ours. We used to work with her at a former company. We have all known each other around 30 years and it was a lovely chat. Sherry used to scrap with me. She was a paper scrapper.
Husband was working when I got home, but brother stopped by today - we worked on finalizing all our plans for England. We are going to have such a lovely time. Mum will have recovered enough from her surgery. It will be a tough time, but I think she will be a champ. We are planning a big reunion at home.
I am off to sleep.

I feel for all of you that have allergies! My oldest boy gets them, and it is rough sometimes! I too am so thankful for the nice warm weather. Yesterday, my younger daughter and I took a 1-1/2 hour walk, and it was wonderful! It just energized me and made me feel much better. I have been kind of hormonal the past couple of days, so it was just what I needed. I think I'll do it again today if I can convince one of the kids to go with me.
On the docket for me today is just lots of work, plus I plan on trying to declutter part of a closet. Fun, fun!

Lynn....me too....laundry and scrapping today. I've got desk work (I work at home) which will keep me busy off and on all day but I'll squeeze in a bit of scrapping too. It's raining and chilly today so I'm staying indoors except to go pick up Taz at doggie daycare (he goes every Wed for the day so he can play with lots of dogs).

Next was I was jogging and stopped to chat at the mailbox. The day Harry Chapin died. After that we started dating and it is 37 years married in June.

Allergies here too! My Zyrtec covers my indoor ones just fine, but not so with the outdoor ones. I have to take the drug year-round, I get them so bad. Today is a nice and sunny day, which is bad for the allergies but good for my soul.
I'm glad everyone is doing so well today! I think I'll do some scrapping.
