Wow, good for you Lynnie! I wish we could take a big trip sometimes, but we have work to do on our house. Our full master bath has been reduced to a 1/2 bath for almost a year (no shower, no toilet). Sigh. But we are going to New Orleans in May for our nephew's graduation. It'll be a quick trip though- not much time for fun. Hubby gets to do some more exciting things but I need to be home this summer to get DD to and from band practices. Sigh.

When the kids were little, we hardly ever went away and when we did it was to dance competitions. I did went back to college for my Master's degree when the youngest was a baby and I remember I had an international business class. I think he was about 2. I spent six weeks away and went to Ireland, England and Israel. He almost did not recognize me. Our whole lives resolved around kids activities. I am so glad I spent that time, because now they are older....

But I footloose and fancy free to off to Hawaii, England and France I go!

Ha! This weekend sounds much more my speed. Lots of TV/video watching. Usually I have a show of some type on while I scrap in the background. For some reason, I usually can't *just* watch a show anymore - I feel bored. I watch shows while scrapping or cleaning or browsing Instagram.

I worked hard on Friday, then wimped out the rest of the weekend. On Saturday, after the Village Memory Makers (scrapbooking) club, I went home, took my mother to get a cool purple walker, then we watched a little television together and I cooked hamburgers in my instant pot.

Sunday I overslept for church (dang, I hate missing church), cleaned a bit, then my niece came over and we had a Dr. Who marathon. After she left we watched a bit of the Grammy's. Sadly, I think I don't enjoy the music the way I did when I knew the artists. These days I don't recognize many people, I don't like the music that much (with some exceptions) and there is nothing much to excite me. We turned it off after one-to-many rap songs. We went to Youtube and watched videos on green screen production. I am pretty excited about working on some music videos for my husband. I have all the equipment, I have just never done green screen production before. I think I might do some photography as well - how much fun would that be!

It was late when I went to bed, though, and now I am at work (taking a little break) and I am tired.... and cranky

Lynnie - what a great year it is shaping up to be for you!! New grandbabies & lots of exciting trips!!


Ane - I'd love to go to New Orleans sometime. The kids and I want to do an unplanned road trip sometime, and our direction of travel would definitely be Louisiana as it's somewhere we've never been. It probably won't happen this summer, but maybe next.

I just signed up for survivor. Too true I have cabin fever. Going out for my birthday tomorrow a few days late, really looking forward to it. My son had orthodontic appointments both yesterday and today.

I have my fingers crossed my girl will get a nerve block to help with her pain in the next month, we were promised so my toes are crossed too. She needs this so much.

My city is hosting the canada winter games the next few weeks so my son is out of school till the 25th. City is overrun by new people. Kind of exciting.

Having the city overrun is exciting, but it can get old. The extra traffic, the mess.

It stretches you! I think it is always worth doing. It is always crushing to be bounced out, but so many people are in the same boat. I think it is fun.... you learn to think differently....we could create an Everyday Waffling Alliance!

I think the main thing is to ask yourself how devastated you will be if you don't make it through a round. If you are pretty ok with yourself and it is not going to crush you, I say DO IT! It does not feel good, but it can be such a great stretch, and if you don't make it through, keep scrapping along.

Can I just say I have a love-hate relationship with Technology.

I have a degree in computer science. All my life I have managed computers and been at the forefront of technology. However, I am now in my 60s and the sheer complexity of today's technology has left me behind.

SO.... last week my printer stopped printing so I got a new printer, and it came today.

The printer wanted to use WPS to install the WiFi, however, Google WiFi routers don't support WPS because it is not secure. I did not know this and pressed the reset button on my router thinking I was using WPS to install the printer. Instead, I reset my router to the factory settings. It took a while to figure out how to reset my router and get my internet sorted. But then I had to figure out how to install the printer without WPS, which was not easy. SOMEHOW I got it to work, but heaven knows how. It was an accident after many attempts. So then I go into Adobe Photoshop and I think something from my printer installation clashed with Photoshop. Photoshop totally crashed and I had to reset my installation, then reboot my computer. I was HOPPING mad by the time I got done. My test sheet for the printer said "I HATE TECHNOLOGY!"

My extra Google WiFi nodes are still not working....

I'm so sorry Lynnie! I totally feel you. My son is my IT guy and I hate it when he isn't here to figure out my little techy issues. I'm glad your printer is working but is your photoshop working?

At least give it a try- just a good excuse to get more pages scrapped. Plus it allows you the privilege to vote through the game if you at least get through the first challenge (at least I think it does) plus all the survivor chatting amongst everyone is kind of fun, too!

Someone with her head screwed on right and her priorities straight! Photoshop IS working now, thank you I was a little stressed for a while, but all is good now. Printer is also working, just one more thing to fix and I am all good.

Lynnie I have days sometimes weeks that I feel that way about my layouts, I think we all have our times of not feeling inspired, but it will come back... I am so looking forward to playing survivor, probably will get kicked out early but will continue to play til the end....
The weather is driving me crazy, one day it feels like it's going to warm up then the temps drop way back down, then it snows one day rain the next... I need this yard to dry up, and we are suppose to get lots of rain tomorrow, and heavy winds... me and the puppies are not going to be happy... LOL So ready for Spring!...
Well I have better get back to scrapping I have nine challenges done so need to do a couple more, you all have a great day! and stay warm and dry wherever you are...

When I feel like that, I use LOTS of templates!

Is anyone else getting a crazy winter storm again?? I'm in North Iowa, and we are having a major blizzard, and it's really strange. We're actually having rain and a crazy thunderstorm right now. The roads are impassable and they even pulled the plows off!
