RQOTD: Did you ever paper scrap before going digital?

Digital! Started with Paint Shop Pro (which I don't even think is around anymore?) then acquired an old copy of Photoshop CS3 which I still use.

I was a HUGE paper scrapper, and I still have tons of supplies but I'll never, EVER go back.

I always did my title work and journaling on the computer (which I got a lot of crap for from the hard-core paper people) and I used Photoshop to edit and crop my photos. Then one day while looking for some Hawaiian paper supplies online I came across some digital papers and I was hooked. My digital pages are sooooo much better than my paper ones!

I was a very avid paper scrapper first. I even helped run and manage a big paper scrapbooking group back when MSN had groups. I had TONS of supplies but sold/donated most of it except for some odds and ends to make cards or the occasional tag (mostly inks and stamps).

I went digital about 5 years ago and never looked back. I love having no mess to clean up and the ability to do so much more with my photos. I use PSE 11 and have no desire to use anything else.

Yes, I even sold Creative Memories products for a while! I had more "paper" supplies and gadgets than I care to admit. I started my oldest's scrapbook (he's 10.5 now! eek!) and I did just a handful of pages (maybe 3). Then all of a sudden my 2nd (my one and only daughter) was born 2 years later, and there his book still sat. But while pregnant with my daughter I was creating a slideshow for my SIL wedding, a growing up type slideshow of her growing up, then him growing up, then the two of them dating, etc. I discovered freebies for digital scrapbooking. I started with a pretty horrible free program and quickly got annoyed when I couldn't rotate or change colors of some of the elements. Then I remembered I had photoshop (like really old version of photoshop) from when I was in HS and on yearbook. So I started scrapbooking in that! Not realizing that's what more people used. I was way more comfortable with that and knew a lot more "tricks" due to my PS days in HS. Now I've sold most of my "paper supplies" and kept only a handful of tools and papers for kids crafts, etc. No one will I ever go back to paper!! LOL I just don't have the room to spraed out all the crap, and I love how quick & easy it is to create one LO, and then swap out pics & journaling and all of a sudden have another page for another one of my kids. With 4 children, this is saving me a ton of time! There are quite a few pages that I can just print 4 copies of and they each have one, or swap out a few pics here and there and they have their own personalized page! Don't get me wrong they do have some events and pages that are totally unique to their books, but I try to duplicate as much as I can! Each kid has a book for each year of their life! and I think they average about 150-160 pages per book, now multiply that by FOUR and my oldest is 10, you can get an idea of how many pages I've created! (although I'm a little over a year behind!) But still! wow! I hope its not all a waste and they enjoy it someday! They do enjoy flipping through them now and that makes me happy!

I started paper scrapping 20+ years ago {I also sold CM, Trina!}. My craft room looked like a scrapbook store with all of the paper, stickers and tools that I owned. I had crops at least once a month.
I switched completely to digi when we downsized at the beginning of 2012. I sold/gave away most of my supplies. I still have some paper {I just can't get myself to get rid of it all!} and some embellishments. Mostly for kids' projects...maybe someday I'll want to make cards or some such.
I love digi and couldn't imagine ever going back to paper!
