Photos in an older file format

I have been using digital cameras for 20 years now and have regularly backed up my files, updating the media as technology advanced (floppy disks then 3 1/2" disks then hard drive, writeable Cds etc). I now go to use some of the older photos and discover that for a period of time, I used a camera that stored my photos in .fpx files. I think that stands for FlashPix and it is associated with Kodak Easyshare software. Unfortunately I have tried to get other software to open the files and I have tried downloading the (now obsolete) Kodak software but nothing opens the files and the software won't install on my Windows 10 system. Does anyone know of a way I can recover those files so I can convert them to something more universal?

It says online that these programs work with that file type:
Kodak Picture Easy Software
CoralDRAW Graphics Suite X7
Coral PaintShop Pro X6
Microsoft PhotoDraw

So you might try that, but here is an online converter, fpx to jpg, so no download needed-do one and see if it works for you:

Thank you for the suggestions. I am going to try the online options when I get to a location with good internet access and see if that works. At least now I have something to try.
