Shana I can relate. Alexis got back from Ontario with a weird eastern Canada bug, that wiped the house in just days, and it’s still going strong. None of us have fought it off yet. I don’t think my throat has ever been that painful before. Now the cough just goes on and on.

Lynnie, Bless your heart about understanding your grandson 's coloring in your bible. Going through things of my grandparents (that my Mom inherited) I came across many a page in their bibles where there was also coloring by a child and I sat there wondering who was that child, I wish I would have known.

Sherri, Welcome back to Alexis, I hope her time was fulfilling (minus the Eastern Canada bug). Fell better soon!

I have accomplished so much in the past few days with my last of the painting except all the doors in the house but I am waiting for nicer weather as the outside doors are too cold at the moment.

We have had nicer weather after that last snow dump but I hear another Colorado low is set to come our way. I am hoping we don't get too much snow this time. Our walking group has taken a hiatus as the walking condition are unsafe in the parks we frequent but I am looking forward to cycle season to begin in May.

Have a great weekend everyone!

Sherri: That must be difficult for all of you, along with your existing health issues. I can't imagine. I have something going on, too, but nothing that hard to deal with. Every joint and muscle is so painful, and I am crabby. I hope you get over it soon. Give Alexis a big hug and tell her hello from me.

Karen: One time, when my son, Steven, was little, he broke a porcelain cross that my son, Chris (who died), gave me. It was not too long after I told him not to touch it. He was devastated. He was sure that I would not love him anymore. I cuddled him and said that NOTHING I own is more important to me than he is, that the cross could be mended and more careful next time. He has never forgotten that, and it has carried over to his treatment of his children. I have more than one Bible "decorated" by my children. I tend to have one out by my chair most days.

Happy March 16th! Goodness it's been awhile since I posted here.
A combination of: CT work. Medical appointments [myself and hubby]. Watching the g'kiddo's. Baseball. Dance.....and occasionally I cook dinner!

Not a fan of the daylight savings thing. I like the one I once read [supposedly] written by a Native American...Only the white man would cut off one end of a blanket, attach to the other end and think it was longer. {I am part Native American}. Actually I feel our part of Florida should be in the central time zone instead of the eastern, but the officials did not ask me.

Sarah's "mood" blanket... or her Burger King- have it her way is completed. Still enjoying hubby's [daily accurate one of our 3 pm temperatures].

I'm trying to keep up with the spring scrap-a-thon and challenges but...so many of the challenges, I have zero interest in trying a page for. At least going for many comments in the gallery.

My Vodka tree [I think it is supposed to be a lemon....] did produce several fruit this year but they taste more like orange.
G'daughter and I planted tomato seeds [well actually the top cut off part of the tomato] and stuck it in dirt. Thus far, 2 are thriving! We started another on Wednesday. We shall see.

That's about all the news from Florida.

Did everyone here know that the designer behind Kimeric Kreations died of cancer in 2018? I did not. I am unsure how that works with the store, but I love her stuff.

Love that daylight saving quote michi, I am going to write it down so I remember it, it made me chuckle just now:)

I'm aiming to do the Scrapathon total as well...trying for the 20 challenges goal and have already uploaded 17 so far, with an extra three that dont count for Scrapathon...never have I ever completed that many LO in a month and we are only just past half way...maybe Ill go for the 31 LOs.....although like you say michi, there are some challenges I have no interest in working.

Yes, I've been aware of Kim's passing and when she was ill. Karen Schulz and Tami Miller have "taken care" of her kits with request and permission of her husband and family. Proceeds to them.

I keep going back and 'reading' again and again...trying to make more of them "work" for me.

Lynnie: You are so right. Things are just things. One time Randy and Morgan were horsing around and they broke one of the decorative pieces that I had inherited from my late mother. They both froze like deer in a headlight. I cleaned up the fragments and tossed it. Randy was ready to go out and search for a replacement, but, luckily, I’ve inherited many decorative things from my mother (she had been an interior decorator), and I assured them both that things happen and it was clearly an accident. No sense getting mad over an accident.

Michi: A vodka tree? How interesting! I’m picturing a maple tree that instead of giving syrup, it gives vodka. LOL!

Sherri: I hope your household has beaten that pesky virus. Randy had it about a week, and of course he shared it with me. So I was home sick all last week. I missed the board meeting and those two days of travel for that event. I pretty much slept and coughed and blew my nose…. And that was about it. The only time I left the house was to see the dr. and to pick up a prescription. I finally started to feel human again yesterday, but I’m still super tired. Morgan came over and helped me clean the house from top to bottom, so that was nice. And today is nice enough I’ve been able to open up the windows and get some fresh air inside.

Jill: Congrats on creating so many layouts! You’re on fire!!! I don’t think I’ll get that many done this month. I’ve scrapped all of our Texas trip and I’m pretty much caught up with this year’s photos until we get together for Easter at the end of the month. I agree with Michi that there are some of the challenges that I’m just not interested in, but I’m glad to see such a wide variety offered.

Just thought I would stop in quickly while I am feeling a little more human.
Hope everyone is doing well since I checked in last

Surgery all went well but I crashed in recovery due to one of the medications they gave me which resulted in an overnight stay.
Saw the Dr next morning & she told me that I was unique in that I have a heart-shaped uterus & only 1 ovary & technically I should have had more trouble than I ever did having children. My Dr Who loving child was impressed when I told him I was the Dr now as I now have 2 hearts lol. I've had a low grade fever since coming home & my daughter has been keeping an eye on me to make sure it doesn't get worse but it was to be expected as when I came home 3 out of 5 kids had a flu bug.

I too was hoping to keep up with the spring challenge but struggling to sit at my desk as I have pain down my left side still due to the bruising but hopefully that will be better in a few more days and I can get a few more done. Just had to go get some mints as the nausea from some of the medication has been brutal the last few days. The mints have helped settle it a bit now thankfully

Take care

Wow, it sure seems like everyone has been busier than I have! More power to you, ladies. :) And Sam, get well soon!

I also have been working hard on the challenges. I have 17 done, one for every day this month, though I haven't done today's yet. Trying to figure out which of the ones that are left do I want to do. I'm aiming for 20 also. I didn't have a very interesting weekend, just the usual shopping, some yardwork, church and choir practice. Though we will have a choir practice this Saturday because the performance is Sunday. We are singing Lamb of God by Rob Gardner. I found it on YouTube and Spotify if you want to listen to some of it. It's so pretty.

I’m still not feeling well, the cough, the runny nose, and just exhaustion. Austin seems to be recovering. Alexis is still fighting it. The kids dad got it lady so is still bad with it, and off work. Thanks for asking.

Sam - I am so sorry you had such a rough time after surgery. Hopefully, you are on the road to recovery.

Shanna - it sounds as though you are recovering okay. I can't imagine being caught up on scrapping, especially not with the number of pictures you take!

Sherri, I hope you are feeling better by now, and Alexis also.

Ane - I loved being in choir, I just can't coordinate it anymore. It would mean too many days and nights away from home.

I am have done 26 pages so far. I am aiming for the 31. I think I can do that. I have enjoyed the challenge! :)

Thought I would just check in, read post each day. I pray and wish the best for each of you in your health and struggles. I am still in Arizona with my daughter's family but will be leaving on the 8th of April to head back home. I am close to finished with my missionary training. I have been kept busy here with that and spending time with family and travel to California for a weekend and Tucson for a weekend.

Popping back in over here. After a rough build on a house that took over 3 years. We are finally moved in and and I'm working on being more active in my crafting.

Katherine - where in California? I live in Southern California :)

Esther - How lovely to see you again. You are such a talented scrapper. Hopefully, we will see you showering the gallery with your creations.

I had a lovely day today. My friend comes to visit once a month and we usually paper scrap. This time she had to arrive late and leave earlier than usual and I cooked while she was here, so I didn't get any paper scrapping done. She managed to scrap two pages (from a trip we did together in 1997!) and we had some pretty interesting theological discussions. They were lively and entertaining and we had such a good time. We had Thai Curried Chicken for dinner and lots of tea. I love the days I spend with her.

This is her:

Finished all 39 challenges for this month. I did count one for P52 that covered the end of February and beginning of March but will still do this coming week.

Hi ladies. I'm back from the cruise. What an experience it was to cruise around the Cape Horn in South America and the ship was even able to do a 360° turn as we rounded the tip. The weather was good, especially at Cape Horn b/c often it is gale storm winds and 10 foot waves. We had extremely cold, windy weather as we rounded Cape Horn but no huge waves. The rest of the cruise was mild to hot weather. The food in South America was so good. I saw penguins for the first time in my life, what an experience that was! I have never been anywhere where English is spoken almost not at all, it was challenging at times to communicate. Our international sim cards for our phones didn't work but we found out about eSIM so will purchase that next time. Met some lovely people on the ship and one Australian gal is into bird/wildlife photography so if she comes out to Alberta to visit Banff and Jasper she can come stay with us.

I have a bit of a cold so was in bed for the first two days I got home but today am feeling pretty good. I'm going to go see what CT stuff I need to do. Glad to be home. Hope everyone has been well.

Happy Friday to all.
I hope everyone is feeling better, that have been under the weather.

Kudos to you all that have done so many of the challenges!!! I'm up to 11. I've been trying to stay busy in the gallery with comments. I'm not sure I 'get' the mixed media challenge. Do we have to use the flowers provided?? I had an idea for a page, but it wouldn't involve flowers.

Rae- I loved viewing your photos shared on FB of your cruise! That was a very cool trip.

I finished the sewing of all the faux fur in hot pink!!! 2 pillows for g'daughter and a key chain for each of the girls in her competition dance group. They compete tomorrow at 9 am. Not going to drive to Orlando for 1 - 2 min. dance. Will watch on the Dance bug ap. on my computer. G'son is doing baseball on the east coast. Will watch that on GameChanger.

Have a wonderful weekend.
m

Michi, you do so much outside the challenges. I hope you do a page on the pink pillows and keychains :) That would be fun and fab! My daughter was in dance for years. I should scrap some of her dance pics, I haven't done them in a long time.

Wow Katherine, you are amazing!! All 39!! I am up to 24 and fast running out of steam....and challenges that I want to do. 24 LOs plus 3 non challenge LOs in one month is a record for me, slow scrapper that I am. The commenting is fine, as a cookie I already do way more than the 100 required for the Scrapathon.

Finally autumn has arrived here, we were having mid to high 30C temps up until last weekend. Now we are mid 20Cs which is perfect for me.

Nothing exciting planned for my weekend, household chores probably.

I have choir practice tomorrow and Sunday, with a performance Sunday. I'm not sure we'll do our usual shopping. But tonight we're going to see the musical the high school is putting on. Should be good- we know a few of the kids involved. Hmm, I think that might actually be it for this weekend, but still busy.

Looking forward to Monday when I can chill, lol!

I had a really busy week with so many outdoor activities and going thrifting today with in-laws. When did I have time to work??
