Michi, you do so much outside the challenges. I hope you do a page on the pink pillows and keychains :) That would be fun and fab! My daughter was in dance for years. I should scrap some of her dance pics, I haven't done them in a long time.

I would love to see your photos of your daughter's dance. I most definitely will get the pillows and keychains scrapped. I have scrapped some of her with company and the Think Pink dance.

Michi,
Interestingly enough, I have discovered that my best pages are pre-GS days. Here are a few I have posted since I have been here. The first one is a Non-GS page, the rest are GS products. If you are interested, you can click on the thumbnail to look at the large one. I didn't want to make a huge post of all the pages. The first one is interesting. One of the dancers pulled out at the last minute and they had to teach Karen the dance overnight and make a costume. There wasn't quite enough fabric to make the costume and they had to stitch her into it on the day.

Now I realize I have not done her dance years justice, I have an entire new portfolio of items to scrap!!

If you want to see her actually dance - here is a video. It is simply lovely. She is the smaller of the two girls.

I snuck a sneaky look at the video too Lynnie, so beautiful, made me all teary.

Lynnie, thanks for posting your dance layouts! <3

It makes me think... how often does everyone go back and look at your earlier scrapbook pages? I started out traditional scrapbooking with Creative Memories (anyone remember that company?). And then I transisitioned to digital scrapbooking as I was already using Photoshop for my work. My style has definitely evolved over the years. Some of my pages make me cringe, but I'm still glad I captured those memories even if I would do it differently today. LOL!

Lynnie, I loved the video, thanks for sharing! What a treasure that you have scrapped her dancing photos and you have clearly evolved into an amazing scrapper.

Shana, I too started with Creative Memories and slowly evolved into digital when my DIL asked me how many books I was going to have of the grandie...LOL! I really enjoyed my paper-scrapping days as I have so many memories of workshops with my Mom and all the friends I made along the way. I am in the process of digitizing the grandie's paper books but I kept my CM Wedding book as I used all the original photographer's photos.

Oh boy, Creative Memories...that sure brings back memories.

Karen - I started off with traditional scrapping, going to Creative Memories classes. I had a huge binder full of plastic templates and stickers. Scrapping sure has come a long way :)

Lynnie- Thank you for sharing the pages! I plan to look at each [big in the gallery] plus the link. I want to take my time and enjoy each!!
This weekend, I'm multi-tasking watching grandson's baseball tournament via Game Changer [as we are not there] and granddaughter's studio competing at Believe- part of the Star Power group. Thank goodness for the live stream.
Finishing a blanket and posting pages.

OMGosh!!! Hey gang! I do read everyone's post every day, but usually in the morning just as I'm rushing off to work. I love hearing about all your antics and comings and goings. Y'all are crazy busy!

Lynnie, your layouts just took me back! Lacy was in dance for 10 years and taught for seven. Anne was in studio dance for 10 years and on the HS dance team for four years. I can't even count how many dance layouts I have, both traditional and digi. In 2004, I created 21 pages alone, just for recital. YES, Shana, I remember Creative Memories, but I started out with rock, paper scissors LONG before Creative Memories was even a gleam in their eyes! I was "creative memory-ing" when I was in elementary school in 1969??? I used to take pix and (YIKES) scotch-tape them into old paper albums, journal with Bic markers and "embellish" with stuff from magazines. HAHAHA! I got "creative" when I really started scrapbooking in high school and putting things in actual albums and found those old... shoot, oh dang, CM had'em too, stickers (those cutesy ones, from that gal's name, something???). Then I actually did turn to CM in the 80's and went digi in geez, about 2006 or 07, I think. Never looked back. Haven't really created much lately though. The steam just went outta me a couple years ago.

I got really back into making greeting cards. I love having paper in my hands again. And people just love getting snail mail. Speaking of which, if any of you would like a birthday card on your special day, I'm serious! Just PM me your address and birthdate and I'll add you to my calendar. You'll get a hand-made card from yours truly!

Take care. We're supposed to get SNOW-mageddon here in MN. BAH! It's March, for heaven's sake. It's snows! smh.
Love ya!
Carla, in MN

Thanks for all your comments on Karen's dancing. She was a spectacular dancer. She still takes classes from time to time and loves it. I have all her dance videos, and we watch them occasionally.

To speak to Shana's question, we love going back and browsing through old albums. I did creative memories also. Interestingly enough, I am working on a creative memories album for Karen, aged newborn through 21. It was due on her 21st birthday, she is 35! I also have Steven's to do.

I have quite a few old pages of Karen's dance. I am going to do a few more now I realize I have not done as many as I thought I had.

I do a lot of hand-made cards, too, Carla. I really enjoy working with my hands. Sometimes I combine my scrapping skills and hand-making stills and do hybrids.

Go YOU Lynnie!!! All of them beautifully crafted as well. I'm up to 27 with a couple in the waiting room awaiting the obligatory final tweaks and nudges, struggling to find the last couple of challenges that I want to do and spending way too much time trying to get mini kits (UIA for instance) to work happily for me. It would be sad to miss out by one or two LOs short of the total.

I completed my 31 pages and am working on my comments, about 2/3 the way done, but I'm going to do over 100, I started out with ONE comment! OMG!

I've done a signature for March! LOL!
All you prolific scrappers amaze me.
You've also created a lovely LO this month as well Julia, it is obvious you have lost none of your scrappy skills since DSP days. Lets see more next month, OK?:)

Great job Myka, that is a wonderful effort. Congratulations.

I completed my 31 pages and am at 107 for my comments, YAY!! Time to go play with the dogs! So grateful I was able to complete this challenge! Especially since I started out with ONE comment! Squeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee!! :D

I completed my 10 challenges for this month, unfortunately not a lot of time to scrap this month but I did do more than 100 comments. Great job for those that have achieved their goals.

I am off to meet a mouse today, see you all in 10 days!

Myka, welcome to the everyday chatting thread :) I am so glad you managed to get the 31 pages AND the comments done. It was a struggle for me, and I got mine done too. Love your scrapping!

I have resurfaced from my loooooong weekend, lol! The performance went well, and all my stress disappeared. I had not been sleeping well, but Sunday-Monday I slept over 10 hours! It was great and I didn't have to nap. :)

I finished my 20 layouts last week and am taking time to make more comments. I was going for 50, but now I am well over that, so I'll see if I can get to 100. The more, the merrier, right? I should do this much commenting all the time.

Which Mouse? California or Florida? I'm assuming Mickey Mouse

I have not sorted anything out yet, Esther, and I am usually right on top of it! Hopefully, the kids will come over :) I have Easter baskets for the kids. Church on Sunday morning. Beyond that, nothing! You?

The performance must have gone well :) You did some particularly lovely pages this month. It is lovely seeing all the comments in the gallery this month.

I clicked "like" for this post and wanted to add lots of likes but it would only let me do one:) It would be wonderful if members commented regularly outside of competitions. Go YOU on achieving your Scrapathon goal.

My sister and I will have a board game day with my daughter who is very isolated living on her own with disabilities. On Easter Sunday, she and I will go to granddaughter's place for morning tea with all the family and an Easter egg hunt with greatgrandson Harley. Fun!!

Thems were the days weren't them, Lynnie, so many familiar (and not so familiar faces there)...and gorgeous Omio and wonderful Mars...how I miss them both:(.

WE have friends coming over tomorrow and they will be at the house over the weekend. Nothing big planned. My kids are older and too cool for baskets in their mind. Even though my daughter would love a make up themed Easter Basket.
