My husband and I are traveling to WI next week to visit my sister and her family. We just vacationed with them in Aug, but this time we'll just hang at their house and take advantage of the multiple Fall Festivals around central Wisconsin. I look forward to hanging with my 14 year old niece too . . .

Other than that, work in the garden to get 60 tulip bulbs planted.

My DIL and grandkids are moving out of state late October, so I'll try and cram in extra time with their sweet faces too.

I'm B A C K from a 9 night cruise and 11 days away. We went from Tampa > Baltimore> Boston> Portland> Bar Harbor> Saint John [New Brunswick] > Halifax [Nova Scotia] back to Baltimore...
Whew- chilly and FUN! I saw a lot of leaves changing.
I've purchased more kits.

GUESS WHAT?!

I passed my Health Information Technician credentialing exam! I now have an RHIT after my name!

One credential down, one more to go next month to see if I can add CCS (certified coding specialist) after that RHIT.

Still frantically working on my mother's birthday party AND my pastor's retirement party. I have scrapped over 800 mini-layouts in the last two weeks, which is why I am so silent on the site :) I love doing it, but I always wish I had more time. The party is on Saturday and I am planning a few weeks of scrapping for ME about then.

Over the weekend, I went to see the band Venice at my friend's house (mansion!). She was able to seat around 95 people in her living room and dining room to see the event. She usually has bands perform outside, but it was raining, so they moved it inside. Her concerts are always amazing and they include free food and drink. I was the designated driver, so did not drink anything but water, but the food was fabulous. Venice is one of my all-time favourite bands and they are not so well-known. The band consists of two sets of brothers who are cousins, plus a drummer and base player. They are so funny in person. Micky Dolenz (former Monkee) is there in a few weeks and Venice played an impromptu Monkee's set that was amazing. They forgot a few of the words but I was astounded at how fantastic it was. If anyone has never heard of them, search for "The Family Tree" on YouTube and prepare to weep.

Anyway, it was my shiny little break in the birthday preparations. I must say, though, I am having the time of my life with the birthday :)
 
Hello everyone, Hope your all having a great day... It's a chilly day here, so I decided to make some homemade noodles... for Chicken and noodles for supper, My son mentioned it yesterday, how he would like some, so I was in the mood... LOL Can't wait to eat them they look good.. I love rolling them out and cutting them, so much better then noodles from the store...

Lynnie, I looked up "The Family Tree" by Venice, Love the song, thanks for sharing...

I LOVE homemade noodles. We would make them sometimes for homemade chicken noodle soup when I was a kid. Rolling them out and hanging them over chairs to dry so we could cut them. Yummy memory. I'm too lazy now LOL!

Sunny & chilly here today too. Hubs was outside chasing leaves :) & I'm doing laundry and trying to get my scrapbooking supplies organized in Bridge. I was behind by several months so it's taken me days and HOURS, plus I'm still not that comfortable with Bridge so we had a day or so with serious disagreements. Bridge won, but we seem to have come to a bit of an understanding now.

Ok Jeanne this might be a stupid question, but what is bridge??? Not to many people still make homemade noodles, but my family all love noodles and dumplings so we have them pretty often... and homemade bread.... YUMMY! But I do more cooking when it's chilly and cold... warms up the house and it smells so good... LOL
 
Bridge is the organizing part of Photoshop. I used to use Organizer in PSE.

Dumplings, oh yum, another absolute FAVE of mine!! Dumplings, sour kraut (homemade), and pork chops my favorite Saturday dinner (it was a noon meal) for us. Apple dumplings occasionally in the fall. I'm drooling and it's almost bedtime LOL

Jeanne have you every had fried cabbage and dumplings, bet you would like them, and you can add, pork, bacon, or chicken... My kids love them and it's a great one pan meal... We also like drop dumplings in beans, navy, pinto, mixed beans, butter beans, and even chili beans... We cook a lot of meals that most people never heard of, but my mother had 13 children, so we cooked what we had... and we all learned to cook, even my brothers can out cook the best of them. I was the middle child, we had so much going on growing up, never a dull moment...

I was using Bridge for a while, but it was taking so long to bring up my searches. Now I am using Copernic, which is much faster. I save the searches and the system brings them up quick as a wink. I loved Bridge while I was using it, but for some reason it just quit being friendly one day. Copernic just indexes on the name. It does the whole drive and you can search through emails, appointments, documents, photos, etc., or you can restrict it to a directory. I add indexing names to my kits to help them appear in the right searches. For example, if a kit is called "Under the Sea" I might add 'Disney' and 'Ariel' to the names of the elements. That way it appears in a Disney Search and an Ariel Search. I don't devote a lot of time to it, though. I have a file renaming thing called "File Monkey" that lets you add the tags to the end of the original name in a heartbeat. Between file monkey and copernic my life is so easy!

LOL Lynnie this all sound s so confusing to me... Bridge, Copernic... I would be so lost trying to figure it all out... I'm doing good learning my way around the forum, LOL Not good at all the computer stuff, but I do learn just at a slow pace... LOL
 
Hey, I'm back from a little break from social media. Feels good to be back!

I guess I really don't have a system for tagging/finding things I want to use. I just have my folders made to show the previews when I go to my GingerScraps folder. I just sort of remember what's in them and whether I've used them or not. :)
 
I don't like Olives - but I do like dumplings. Olives tried to trick me into thinking they were grapes when I was much younger. I was horrified at the taste. I have not forgiven them.
 
My mother's 90th birthday was a huge success - I think I will have time to scrap again... I can sleep early, get up later and BREATHE! It was only 60 people, but it was like having a wedding there was so much going on... Pictures will follow...

I had to get a new driving license today. Mine was due to expire, but at least I did not wait until the last possible second.
 
I think this layout - this person - needs some love! I think she needs some encouraging messages. It brought me to tears.

 
Wow, social anxiety is something I struggle with too. I went and left her some love, because I agree with you, she needs it. :)
