That is a lot of college! Hey, my son-from-another-mother is heading to Shoreline to play soccer in August. We will for sure be up there to see a game or two this fall. We should meet up for lunch or something. :)

Sounds good! Send me a message closer to the time and we can figure something out. :)

I want to organize a laptop crop meet up - lots and lots of people in California :) I think I am going to organize one fairly locally, and invite some of my old scrapping buddies from Digital Scrapbook Place. That would be so much fun. I miss hanging out with them.

We need one of those in Seattle!

It has been quiet in here....what's everyone up to? I did 2 Vegas-themed layouts today and chilled at home. I'm procrastinating my homework as well!

Been busy with my Mom recovering from her broken hip and her colon cancer surgery, and release from hospital back to her lodge.

I ended up hospitalized for iv fluids.

My saughter was hospiralized for two days getting infusions. And has been to two other cities to see many specialists. I need a private secretary just for medical stuff.

busy trying to get all the ducks in the rows they need to be so Our Trip to Mayo Clinic in Minnesota for my kiddo to have two cardiac surgeries can go ahead.

I feel like i missed spring, one day it was brown then it was green

Oh my goodness Sherri, I hope you've recuperated enough!!!

So far this weekend, I've been to see the Solo movie and picked a bunch of strawberries. Then today was church, no other plans for today. But tomorrow, our congregation is having a Memorial Day breakfast. Hopefully it won't be too hot! :)

Goodness, Sherri, you are going through the wars (as my grandad used to say).

I have had a busy few days.

  • Thursday night I had dinner with my friends who are visiting from France.
  • Friday I went to Weight Watchers, then to Universal Studios for the day, then wrapped up the day at Disneyland.
  • Saturday I had my scrapbooking club from 9 to 2, then spent the rest of the day at San Juan Capistrano Mission and the Rio District.
  • Today I was exhausted and was not feeling well, so I scrapped!

It is pretty late, so I think I am going to go to bed now....

How's everyone going?
Still super busy here with work & kids school & sports. Pretty sure our whole weekend the last few weeks has been some sort of Aussie Rules football match from Friday night through to Sunday. Lucky we all love it, just very exhausting.

Other than work & sport I have done a little more on my family tree, nobody famous ... yet but I am a bit stuck now until I can afford some more records to be sent from England. My Dad actually phoned this morning & said he has just found a notebook my Nan started just after she was diagnosed with dementia. He siad its not much but hopefully enough to get me past this block in the tree. Take care everyone

I spent my weekend trying to stay cool - we were at 90 degrees for highs since Saturday! Last time we were in the 90s was in 2016. Hard to believe that a little over a month ago we had 20 inches of snow.

I did get my garden in, and worked on a lot of school work. Looking forward to just having a 4 day work week.

I love working on my family tree. I don't get much chance to these days, but it is always fun. My husband goes back forever with fully documented evidence of royalty, lords and a lairds. My family were all peasants, so not quite so easy :), but fun none-the-less.

That is hot - our temperature is up and down, one day roasting and the next terribly chilly.

I'm off out with one of my best friends tonight for dinner and a movie to celebrate her birthday.

Yes so far my family have all been coal miners, train drivers or conductors or in the armed forces on the english/welsh side. It has been an interesting journey so far & Dad has just informed me he has found an old book of Nan's that she started writing her memories down in before the dementia kicked in. So can't wait to have a read of that

Popping in quickly on my lunch break, spent most of the morning sorting out passports for the family. Got 4 of 7 processed so that wasn't too bad, had some missing info on 3 of them that needs to be fixed so will do that tonight & go back & lodge the rest tomorrow. Kids are excited to go to New Zealand but I'm not booking anything until I have the passport in my hands & then we are off to Tonga for a 50th birthday party in September. Going to be interesting time as I have never travelled outside of Australia

My grandad's mother's family were coal miners from Wales. He dad did something with moving grain in a horse and cart. Great grandad has something to do with a battle in Ireland, not sure what, though. Grandad's letters don't make sense on that. Grandad was in the 1st and 2nd world wars. My dad's grandad was in a few wars also, but not sure which ones off the top of my head. I'll bet that book will be interesting, even if it is not much help on the family tree!

Ha ha - how's this for random? My 54th birthday is tomorrow and I have a zit on my face!!! LOLOL

That's because you have the heart of a teenager!

Yikes Sherry! That is so much to handle all at once.

We've had a lot of rain.
My knee has been out of sorts. I've been to the dr. twice. The RX he wrote plus the cortisone injection seemed to help. Hoping the ol' knee hangs strong for another year or so.

I've scrapped some pages.

and yesterday bought a new sewing machine!

Well, tomorrow I'm off camping in the woods again for 3 days. I'm finishing my Boy Scout training course (Woodbadge). It's supposed to be mostly dry, but hot, yippee!

Oh, lots going on here too. Hoping the CT scan turns up something so I can get rid of this darn pain (and it just might be related to not enough scrapping!). There are a bunch of DD's activities going on too- concerts, end of school year stuff, 8th grade graduation . . . fun stuff like that. And I'm going camping for 6 days for some advanced Boy Scout training. Yes, I am pretty nuts, but hubby has been waiting for years for me to do this, LOL.

Did anything ever show up, Ane?
