Sugar Cookie : GingerScraps Praise
[h=2]One of the wonderful things about GingerScraps is the camaraderie that we have here. In this thread, we are working on getting to know each other better and learning a little more about what is going on in each other's lives.

What's going on in YOUR life ! :)

I am so happy it is July! I "quit" a job which leaves me more time to be a mom to my teenage son who is in the middle of a very busy soccer season; a Nana to 4 fabulous little monkeys that I am missing right now; and a better wife to one really great guy. I might even start to do the laundry and maybe cook a meal once or twice a week. Hahaha.
This month we are trying to make a trip to Colorado to watch said son play in his first out of state tournament. I hate missing out on firsts! We also want to go to Seattle this year and go see the grands in Arizona. There isn't the money to do all three so I have to pick and choose. :(

What is making you all happy this July 2nd?

It is a toss up, sometimes, isn’t it... the freedoms vs the money. I cut down my hours and am noticing the change in income, but that free day is like nectar! I am looking forward to cutting it even more.

I think it's summer and everyone's getting out. Except me, LOL. I'm still here. I just don't often have a lot to say. ;)

YaY Heidi!

I'm STILL clearing and correctly 'stuff' on the drives for digi. On a silly note: A friend [real life and digi] sent a text...sending you the graphic for a T-shirt I am doing for my dad. I lost my save ...[psd], do you have this ribbon so I can find it.

So, being a friend I look - [ not cheating, as she has the kit or she could not have done the arrangement].
I do a windows 10 search - ribbons...............................6,940 ribbons later................................. [that are named 'ribbon' because some call element 1, 2, 3...] I don't. She found her kit...

My point- That's how much digi I still have!!!!
Sigh

I have way too much, too. I fall in love with everything I see and I have started collecting rather than using. Well, I obviously use a lot, but certainly it is just a fraction of what I buy. I have issues. I can't help but wonder how many ribbons I own :)

It's July in the desert. I'm just hot and cranky. LOL

Hahaha. I thought I was the only one hot and cranky in the desert. It is going to be in the upper 90's and low 100's for the next foreseeable eternity and I am not a happy person.

Hang in there!

Oh Michi - you make me giggle. I am not sure how many "ribbons" I would pull up if I did a win10 search. It would be scary!

Its the middle of the football season here so I really haven't had time to scrap at all.
I love footie season but also loathe it as nothing around home gets done except football ha ha!
My 2 eldest tried out for south coast footie teams last Saturday & we don't know if they get in until later this week. My son is a possible contender for a place & my daughter did well but her hip was hurting so she wasn't confident in herself but they both tried & I am proud of that.
I have been plugging away at my fitness, 2 early mornings a week at gym & 2-4 days walking around the footie ovals while the kids train. Not really lost much weight but my overall size has been shrinking & I am slowly getting my fitness back.
Since I can't scrap I have been crocheting as its winter here in Oz & I can take projects with me to footie & keep my hands busy & ease a bit of stress .. oh I am seeing a trend here ... FOOTIE!! ha ha hope everyone is doing well

We have two cranky desert people! Hmmmm - reminder to self, NEVER move to desert.

I am so impressed by your persistence with exercise. I am never persistent. I always WANT to be, but if the choice was between scrapping and exercise, scrapping wins. :)

I almost did it. I think you might have me beaten, but maybe not :) I will do it tonight when I get home!!

I never thought in a million years I would like or dare I say it love exercise but I find if I go more than a few days without exercise I feel terrible mentally & physically. I suffered terrible back & hip pain for many years due to being over weight & dislocated my lower back a little while before starting this program over a year ago now I have had little to no pain in my hip/lower back. My shoulder however is a new problem that the physio is working on.

I injured my shoulder back last November and it is still giving me a miserable time. I do the exercises, but it aches something awful by the end of the day. I also injured my ankle and the doc says it might take about a year to heal. I have been stretching really well in the morning before I get up because I am starting to walk like an old lady. It makes a big difference if I take the time to stretch!

I need to get inspired to exercise...

Got back from Paris a few days ago. I have been organizing photos for future scrapping (if I don't do it now, it will be so much harder later!)

Since coming home, I went out for girl's night/paint night - so fun, even scrapped it for the "most recent pic" challenge(!), celebrated the 4th, and tried to get the house in order (food shopping, laundry, and other back-from-vacation chores). But it has been so hot and humid that I really have done very very little! I would love this humidity to break so that I can move again! I feel like a slug!

:36_1_39:

I'm finally getting back here after my dad's visit from Australia. He left yesterday, so now I'll be getting back into things....or that's the plan!

Something exciting going on for me is that on Monday I have my first job interview since graduating from college last month....I'm nervous and excited at the same time.

Then, the week after that we will be at Disneyland! Lynnie I'm so looking forward to meeting you and having you as our tour guide! :D

It's awfully quiet in here! What's everyone up to? My kids went back to their Dad on Friday, so it is just me and our dog until next Friday. I'm nervous about my job interview tomorrow!

It is quiet in here! Is everyone on vacation/holiday or something?

Yesterday I helped clean out church building then took DD to and picked her up from her piano lesson. After that I just kinda chilled the rest of the day. Hubby was the busy one LOL. Today we had church but later I have a Boy Scout meeting. Joy of joys!

Me too. It's a 'have to', and now I've added yoga and tai chi!'

I've been working on processing raw photos to jpeg and backing up. Especially after my EHD deleted a bunch on me.

I found the dr's just wanted to keep giving me tablets too take the pain away. I don't do tablets at the best of times & since I had my gall bladder out, I struggle even more as some pain killers upset my stomach quite badly now. Since I found my physio, I have had less pain & only take pain killers or anti inflammatories if the pain gets too much. The physio has given me stretches to do at home & we work on strengthening up on gym days. Its been making a huge difference for me & I'm down another kilo too
