I have a really busy few days ahead - I need to get my breath.

  • Tonight I have dinner with my friend, Pam. We dine once a week. She is the mother of my daughters ex-boyfriend. We managed to stay friends through it all. When I get home, I need to balance my checking account and pay bills. I have been meaning to get to it since 1st. I did get the paperwork for my taxes sent out last night - big win there!!
  • Tomorrow, I am having dinner with my friends Cynthia and Eileen. Lovely English ladies. We are planning a luncheon for the royal wedding.
  • Thursday, my husband is hoping I'll be home so we can watch a movie together and have a nice dinner and a nice glass of wine.
  • Friday, during the day, I am making hats for the royal wedding. Then I am getting my hair done. I should be home in the evening though.
  • Saturday, I run the Village Memory Makers, a paper and digital scrapping club from 9 to 2. After that, I can scrap a bit. I think I might have to fit in some laundry!
  • Sunday is church and, hopefully, a relaxing day.

Are scrappers crazy people who do too much? I feel like it is a personality trait in a lot of us.

But now, they seem so expensive and it seems subscription based. I'm happy with Word, it's worked for me. I don't have the time to learn a new program right now anyway... nor the $, lol.

I do the subscription and I love that I have access to the whole suite! Our daughter is learning Premier and After Effects, and I use Illustrator, photoshop, and InDesign. It’s well worth it for us!

oh wow you scrap in word, I know how hard it is to scrap in word!!! have done it a few times when friends wanted me to "throw" something together for them. this make me appreciate your layouts even more

I would rather print online, but since I scrap in word and save the image in paint, the resolution is horrible. I don't mind printing at home and sticking in books. This way I can print when I want and I can rearrange when I need. I don't print too many out, just vacation and PL books.

I'm still over the moon! I keep asking my friend "Did I tell you about my scrapping competition?" She is over it already haha.

I know, right. She has moved up the ranks from "Amazing scrapper" to "Scrapping Goddess" just because of this!

Em - a FONTAHOLIC? I wish all the designers would name the fonts in their kits. It would make life so much easier when matching fonts to add that extra touch to titles, etc. I own thousands of fonts - and it takes me as long to pic a font as anything!

I have been known to bug designers about the fonts they use, lol. :redface:

I am so honoured to know you :) I love matching stuff in the layout to the fonts in the kits. It takes me hours sometimes to find a matching font, or even a close font. Sometimes I give up and I don't give up easily.

That is a totally awesome tool - but the days it takes me hours I don't get a good match. The same designers who don't include fonts in their stuff always choose fonts that are hard to match haha. Life is never easy!

I CT for Created by Jill and she always tell us the font she uses for her word art - so that helps!

So I'm having a nice, normal day. Drove down to my local Boy Scout shop to get a new uniform for myself. Did I mention my whole family is into scouting? 3 eagle scouts, then me, who's been doing cub scouting for over 10 years. DD is not, yet. She may just decide to join. We'll see.

I woke up this morning shivering and freezing cold. I drove hubby to work and by the time I got home I was hot and sweaty. Yep. Fever. UGH.

They sometimes repeat the freebies & sometimes they pop up on other sites as well
I subscribe to way to may font sites for work so lose track

WHAT WAS I THINKING!

I decided this weekend - which is an extraordinarily busy weekend - was a good time to rearrange my office. Well, office is probably an exaggeration, I have an enclosed balcony that doubles as my office. So we brought all the furniture and STUFF from the balcony into the living room and we are rearranging the furniture. Thank heavens for a patient husband. He is a saint. I realize just how much stuff I have and how much I really need to downsize. NIGHTMARE.

I want to scrap so I decide to rearrange my office? Is there something wrong with me. BTW - I dont' work Fridays so this is my weekend.
