2. choose "inline spoiler," and start typing your text. To me it shows up like a mask icon, but as well can show like an eye with a line through it.

As all of you know, in this thread we can discuss anything about the current book. Please feel free to share your thoughts while you are reading or whenever you want, or as you progress in your reading, it's up to you, this thread is yours, so express all what you think about the book and reading. You can write parts of the text you're reading, and that you think are important to understand the plot, comment on what you think of all what you have reading so far, whether the author is easy or difficult to understand and follow?, how the plot and characters develop to your mind?, and if there's a quote you'd like to share, please do it.

Once again welcome, I hope several of you will choose to join us!

I started this yesterday :) I'm enjoying it so far, interested to see where it will go. BUT not totally hooked. We shall see how it develops :)

What did you think @Grace. ?
I'm on chapter 6 so far chapter 1 was a bit boring, with the party, Dale, etc., or maybe it seemed too trivial to me, even though it was like an introduction to the characters, who would be developed later I guess, but Chapter 2 was more interesting, especially when she wakes up as a 51-year-old woman instead of a 19-year-old, and she doesn't believe Kenzie, and doesn't even let him explain anything, and all she wants is to leave the house, her house, and not even seeing her reflection in the mirror makes her sit down and consider listen what Kenzie has to say; I thought it was a bit stupid, but I understand that someone would react in denial due to the shock; at first, I was intrigued that Kenzie didn't tell her where Dale was, even though she asked him about Dale a couple of times, he never answered, but then I understood. I've been enjoying the way the plot is developing, and I'm interested in learning more about Oona, her life, and how the story will unfold, you see I loved Quantum Leap, actually, I grew up watching that series, so I'm finding the book interesting, the plot reminds me a bit of the movie "about time," where Tim and James (his father) had the ability to travel back in time to moments they had previously experienced simply by clenching their fists, although they remained aware of what they had lived through, they didn't jump randomly, that happened more in "Quantum Leap," but Sam Beckett didn't jump back to his own life, but to the lives of other people.

I'm 75% done, on Part 5- chapter 22, I'm going to finish it but to be honest it just really never got me totally invested. I'm curious how it will end, but it isn't a book I would recommend as of now.

@Grace. it seems like we are kind of both thinking the same thing. LOL

@GingerScraps I hope the remaining 25% improves, making for a better read. I know that after reading the previous book, it will be difficult to find another good one, it happened to me after reading "Remarkably bright creatures", it took me a while to find another book where the characters became a part of my life, like beings you get to know and want to read more about, I suppose it's also the author's role, some writers have the talent to draw the reader into the story, and others don't. The plot of this book promised something interesting, but if the author doesn't develop it enough, it remains an unfinished idea, something that doesn't convince because it feels forced. I'm on chapter 10 so far, I hope that I'll finish it on the weekend. Waiting to read your review dear Ginger :)

@Grace. I totally agree, I felt the same about Remarkably Bright Creatures too!! That was just a gem of a book!!

There was one interesting development towards the end... but not interesting enough to rally recommend the book to anyone. In my opinion it got about 3 out of 5 stars. It was fine... but there are SO many amazing books out in the world, I would pass on recommending it to others.
Let me know what you think when you finish Grace (and anyone else that ends up reading it).

So Grace, were you surprised when... you found out the young man (I already forgot his name) was he sone?! that part did pique my interest. That pushed me through to the end, interested to see how it would wrap up. How did you feel about the ending?
