Wild About Styles: January 2026

For 2026 I decided to try a new angle with all the styles I create to challenge you

Each month the colors of the styles will coordinate with the monthly Gingerscraps Buffet! You can use any Buffet kit from that month to complete your challenge of using AT LEAST three styles in your challenge layout. I've created 8 styles this month for you to test your skills with layer styles. As always, I have included the Photoshop .asl and .pat files. I've also included a 6x6 JPG image of each style for those not using Photoshop.

For this first month of 2026 the color pallete forms a soft winter-to-spring transition palette with muted neutrals, romantic pinks, dusty teals, sage/olive greens, and deep grounding tones. These colors are very versatile and work beautifully across many themes as evidenced in the kits for sale this month in the buffet! For this reason I have chosen to focus on textures. That way, the styles can enhance whatever kit or buffet products you select.

BLUE is my favorite color so i really love this combination. i used the styles on the frame around the photo, the WINTER cutout AND i used the green on the snowflakes! Grandson loves the snow as much as I do and was just relaxing after a tough day playing in it!
