What do you think about Valentine's Day?

I kinda think it's overrated!. I love flowers but get frustrated when my husband spends so much on them...lol
I loved it when the kids were younger and we made goodies for school. Now it's just another day for me. I do give cards. Here are some I created.

I could honestly take it or leave it. I think every day should be I love you day. I don't have a man to give me chocolate and flowers, so I'll definitely get myself some good ol Russel Stovers LOL. I do enjoy getting my kiddos some treats for Valentine's Day and am currently trying to figure out something fun to do with them this year...

I love it... But I am not heartbroken if he forgets. Actually, he never forgets... I on the other hand.....

We only ever do cards, though.

Love your cards- super creative! :D

We're of the opinion that Valentine's Day was created by and for greeting card makers, lol. We do try to do nice things for each other though, flowers, cards, etc.

I'm with you. Just another day in paradise. :kisses
Now that most of my kids are grown, married and living their own lives, we really don't do much. My husband is a romantic and tries to do nice things but after years of being so broke I'm not sure what this year will be like. Still broke but not as squeaky as other years. He needs a new blanket on the bed so I might hit up one of those JCPenney going out of business sales........

Love the cards!
It's a fun day for the kids.
I do not care for the crowds at restaurants or inflated prices on flowers and gifts.

We will stay home and grill out.

Such cute cards! Love them!!

As far as how I feel about the holiday: I don't have a significant other so I don't do anything romantic but I still celebrate in a small way. I always get me kids some kind of candy or a treat. Tomorrow my daughter and I are going out to lunch then getting the bohemian rhapsody movie, it just came out on DVD :)
This year I also have me little granddaughter Daisy Grace to spoil so that is extra fun :)

I always felt like less of a woman when I didn't have a Valentine. Yes, pitiful, I know. I hated Valentine's Day until I met my husband - in fact, I MET him on Valentines Day in a church group function.

Now I like it, and enjoy telling my hubby and daughter how much I love them. I rarely if ever get a card or flowers, but he always remembers and celebrates our love together. He's not a card/flowers guy at ALL. Never has been.
