What are you crafting? {SPRING 2026} April & May
I decided instead of new monthly threads, I will make new threads for watching, reading, crafting, I will post them quarterly.
So they will be

🌸 Spring:
March, April, May
☀️ Summer: June, July, August
🍂 Fall (Autumn): September, October, November
❄️ Winter: December, January, February

We already did March in its own thread... so this will now be April & May. Then June I will make a thread for June, July, August.

Looking forward to chatting with you some more <3

Hey crafty friends! 🌸✂️🎨

Spring always feels like the perfect time to get creative, so I thought it would be fun to check in and see what everyone has been making lately!

We all share a love for digital scrapbooking here at GingerScraps, but I know many of you have other creative hobbies too - and I’d love to hear all about them.

So tell me… what are you crafting right now?

Are you in the middle of a project? Just finished something you’re proud of? Or maybe trying out a brand new craft this month?

Feel free to share things like:
  • Projects you’re currently working on
  • Recent finishes
  • New crafts you’re learning
  • Photos of your creations (we LOVE seeing them!)
  • Favorite supplies or tools you’ve been using lately
Maybe you’re sewing something special, working on a diamond painting, picking up a paintbrush, knitting or crocheting, journaling, coloring, or even building something by hand - whatever it is, we want to see it!

Even though digital scrapbooking is our main crafty love, it’s always inspiring to see all the different ways creativity shows up in our community. You never know - you might spark someone’s next hobby!

Alright friends… what have you been crafting this April? 🧵🧶✨

And if you’re looking for even more conversation and connection, come join us here too:

I am teaching a class on paper crafting cards this month (April 18th). I have to prep for it!!

The card will be a cardstock blank, an embossed layer and a die cut.

Variations will include

matching cardstock and envelope.

Gold or glitter edges to the embossed layer.

3-D die cuts.

I'm actually really, really excited. My upline asked me to participate in her 25th Stampaversary Celebration event and do one of her classes during day. So I'm busy cutting and folding and prepping!

Not sure if this is considered crafting, but hubby got me a Lego set that I really really need to start! LOL!

I want to do some more glass etching.

I created these a few Christmas' ago for all the guests coming that day (I think we had 19 people); so this was their little gift an Irish coffee mug with their initial on it:

I have some other mugs, wine glasses, etc .... but like anything so many ideas, too little time.

You are all so crafty and I admire all of your projects!
I don't do any crafty things beyond my scrapbook pages, but I also am able to bring some of that creativity over to my part-time job as secretary of our church. I do a lot of image creating to use in our publications as well as our social media. Thank goodness for Canva in addition to Affinity to help me with my creating.

Working on my crochet projects for the Missouri State Fair. Here's the sweater I finished. Not sure you can see the cute little duck buttons. The baby blanket is about half finished. I took the photo at an odd angle because I didn't have any where to lay it flat.

I've been working on redesigning T-shirt logos for my youth programs. For the past two decades, all the designs were finding fun ways to represent the two states that I'm responsible for... Kansas and Hawaii. So our main logo was Toto on a surfboard! LOL! But now, I've agreed to take on a third state... Maine. So it's been a creative challenge to find designs to work for all three states. Here is what I came up with! LOL!HI-KS-ME-Logo.jpg

I am just in the planning stages but I want to design and make a 16th birthday card for my grandson. I want to roll money into a candle and have 16 candles. If anyone has tried this technique I would love to see your project. I am using this card from Pinterest for inspiration.
