I was just wondering how you found your way here to GingerScraps?

I was a scrapper adrift for a few years. I was very active at DigishopTalk and ran a scraplift blog called "Lifts with a Twist", and I just got overwhelmed with life and keeping up with an active young kid and home schooling her. I left the communities in about 2010 and never much found a home after that. I posted here and there, but basically dropped out of sight.

In June, I really wanted to start back scrapping and a friend Danielle told me to check out a few places, and this was one of them. I joined and was hooked ever since! The challenges keep me scrapping and the "carrot" of the free gift of a kit at the end is an added bonus!
 
I feel like GS has been on my radar forever. I was a mod at a site years ago (RIP Scrappily Doo Dah) and when that closed I was pretty devastated. I wandered around doing my own thing for a year or two and tried a couple of sites, but they didn't feel like "home". I started doing challenges here and I really liked the range and quality of the designers here. I feel like some sites have such a specific style- really minimalist or super clustery- and I didn't feel comfortable posting things if they didn't fit that particular style. I've always felt at home posting anything in the gallery here because there is a mix of styles in the gallery. And everyone here is so friendly! The Cookies do a great job in the gallery, and the community is very active, which I love!
 
I was on another team for another store and one of my teammates gave my name to Rachel (Seatrout Scraps) because she thought that I would be a great fit with Rachel's team. Rachel took me on as a two month guest, but after a month, she asked if I was interested in staying full time. That was over a year and a half ago now! When I came here to post, I liked it and decided to stay around and post a bit.

I really love the ease of the site and that the forum is a bit busier than most. I love to chat and everyone here is so great.
 
I honestly don't remember! ...must be my menopause brain :quesion I looked at my first LOs in the gallery & they were from when I was on a team for another store that just sold templates...then it's LOs from one of my designers that no longer sells here. So, that must have been it.
 
I don't remember! It was a long time ago.......then I did a little bit here and everywhere. But always liked this site.
Next...I drifted
became super active at 2 other sites and ran out of time.

A designer I CT for came here to sell. Suggested I should be more active. I joined sugar Cookie praise team ( I'd been in other praise teams). My designer left,land
im still here!

very happy to call this site HOME.

Can I totally toot my own horn here and say that the first layout you have posted here uses one of my kits and templates (from when I was selling templates at Brownie Scraps)? So, yeah, I'm TOTALLY taking credit for YOU! :D

That's right, JoyLynn!!! OMGoodness, I remember that! I was so excited when you offered to let me scrap with your kit :)
 
I followed a designer I used to CT for here. It wasn't long before I got picked up to be on the store CT team and this is HOME for me, I really haven't found another community I love as much as I love it here.
 
I followed Kimberly from Leaving a Legacy here... My first home was at Stuff to Scrap and when it closed, I came here and now this is home :D
