I challenge myself!

Layout #37 I only have 70 more to go. But I was a bad bad bad girl today and picked up 9 of the $2 kits. Man I need to stop looking at the sale items.

Here is #37

Jounraling reads: Growing up Dad always talked about moving up north and living in a cabin in the woods. He never got to make the move.

The song Outskirts of Heaven by Craig Campbell has made me believe that God has given Dad the cabin he alwasy wanted in heaven. The thought makes me smile.

I used Mountain Retreat by MAGS Graphics

Layout #38 only 69 more to go.

I was inspired by the song Live like your were dying. It was the first song I heard on the radio when I woke up (got up before the alarm so the National Anthem wasn't the first song I heard like it normally is).

I've had a bucket list since I was in 3rd grade when we were tasked with making a list of things we wanted to do before we died. The letter was sealed and then put away not to be opened until we were 21. My mom shared the letter with me when I was 21. My list has changed a little but these things are still on my list.

I used Family Heritage by JoCee Designs. The Title was done using Mushu Laurie's Scraps and Designs. The Slides were by Clever Monkey Graphics.

This is the page that goes with #39. I'm not counting it as a new layout since it's using the same kit.
I used Mushu by Laurie's Scraps Designs.

The pictures were all taken at the China Pavilion in Epcot.

Layout #41 only 66 to go.
I used Around the World by Magical Scraps Galore

Journaling Reads: When we went to Epcot each of us got to pick a "country" to visit. Mom picked Germany. She wanted to feel the region her relatives came from. I wanted to get an idea of what it was like for Dad when he served there. It was pretty cool to see.

Layout #42 with out 65 to go!

I used GO! Catch 'Em All by Mags Graphics.

Journaling reads: Ben has a growing collection of stuffed Pikachu. His collection includes a onsie for him and the cat. Some of them are cute.

Layout #43 only 64 more to go

Journaling Reads: Hiking the trail at Philmont led us over more then one stream. It felt good to walk thru the cool water.

I used Gone Hiking by Clever Monkey Graphics as well as Wood No 1 Alpha by Clever Monkey.

Layout #45 only 62 to go

I used Stormy Weather by Clever Monkey Graphics
Journaling reads: Almost every day on the trail we had some sort of precipitation. Most days it was just rain, but we had hail on a few days. The rain would last for about an hour and then dry up just as fast. We spent the time under the ponderosa pines that provided surprisingly good protection.

Thanks a lot. I've gotten kits since I started the challenge but I am trying to use it as I buy it. I'm also no longer buying a kit cause it only fits the group of pics I'm working on. If I can't use it for at least 5 layouts I'm not getting it.

You are just AMAZING! What an awesome accomplishment!

Layout #46 only 61 more to go

This is one of my... I won't save favorite since it's a morbid topic but it is one I needed to do when I seen how the pictures came out.

I used Look Who's driving by MAGS Graphics

Title was done using Roll Call White Stamped Alpha by LindsayJane

Journaing Reads: Out in front of the high school is a stark reminder of the consequences of distracted driving. The wrecked car was placed there by the AP police department

I have found that it has helped me grow as a scrapper. I'm using things I wouldn't have used in the past. Things like flowers and ribbons/bows. Before this challenge I was a Double Mat the pictures, journal maybe one small embellishment kind of girl.

Layout #47 only 60 to go! Yeah!

I used Martial Arts by Connie Prince

Jounraling Reads: When asked why I took up Taekwondo my answer was because it was for me. I was able to step onto the training floor and not be mom, wife, sister, or daughter. I was just a person working on her black belt. I loved it.

Layout out #48 only 59 to go
I used Boys will be Boys by Word Art World

The jounraling on the left reads: Chris is my Boy Scout in every way. He loves to be outdoors and around people. He's a social butterfly. He is happiest when on the water or on the trail.

The Journaling on the right reads: Ben is my gear head. He loves anything mechanical. He loves to spend his days playing on his Xbox and is happy to be indoors all day.

You are almost at the half way mark.....that is if you don't buy any more kits:D Go YOU!!!

Layout #49 only 58 to go.

I used Reach for the Stars by CathyK Designs.

The jounraling reads: My world isn't that big. For the most part I stay in south-east Michigan. For as small as my universe is, it is a stunning universe. The sunrises and sunsets are spectacular. The scenery is breath taking.

They will sneak up on you! I have over 400 files with each one at least one kit but as I file by designer mostly many have way more than one. I have been collecting for over 6 years! I don't know how to see how many I actually have but I try to only download kits I love now... including free ones. I know some peeps who have gone through and deleted files but I can't bring myself to delete them.

Good luck on your challenge!

You are amazing, your layouts are wonderful and you are an inspiration! My dh has told me that I can't buy any more scrap kits until I've used all I have. ugh!!!

Oh I can't resist a good deal on kits. I look at what it would cost me to scrap on paper and am lucky to have a loving hubby.

As for deleting them... no way. I reuse them. That would be like throwing away a plate after you used it once. The joy of digital scrapping is the reuseablitly of every thing.
