I challenge myself!

Hello my name is Cristy I am a Digital Scrap shop-a-holic.

I've been digital scrapping for less then a month. Yet somehow I have accumulated 81 kits. I was floored.

So to justify my purchases (and free stuff too) to myself, I am going to challenge myself to make at least a single page layout using each kit before I buy a new kit......:36_1_19: Ok now that I've stopped laughing and picked myself up off the floor. I'm going to try my hardest to make a layout using each kit before I buy anymore. No promises since I've seen some sneak peaks of the upcoming kits that will fit pictures I have. But I'm gonna try real hard.

I'm going to work real hard not to "cheapen" my layouts just to get them done. I want to be able to use these layouts when all is said and done.

Had to edit to show the extra kits I just picked up today. Really need to stop looking at the sale stuff. Still gonna try and do this.
I'm gonna try and keep track of my progress here. Pictures of finished Layouts are in post in this thread as I finish them.

107 kits - 78 layouts finished (29 to go).
This number has gone up but my goal was to use 107. So I'm sticking with that number

Wish me luck. And please feel free to join me in my quest to use what I have.

That is a great (and very difficult) challenge.
I wouldn't even be able to remotely do that challenge. I have no idea how many kits and freebies I have bought, earned, and gotten as a CT over the last 10 years. The number would be staggering!!

Have you tried the challenges? Those always motivate me!!
 
Em, I already fell off the wagon. The dollar kits did me in (I'm up to 107 kits now). But I'm going to still do my challenge. I need to use what I have at least once. If you want to message me I can let you know what I have.

Wow...that is a tough challenge! You're inspiring me to dig through my stash! I know I have a lot of kits that, sadly, I've never used. I'm a digi-scrap hoarder! LOL

WOW!! 107 kits now, lol... that's awesome!! Get your scrap ON girl!! You can do! And you will feel so accomplished once you get started :)

I don't have that problem with kits, but I DO have it with templates. I'm a template junkie! :D I have so many template collections that I haven't used yet. Someone, though, I always need to buy the new sets from my favourite designers. Fortunately, there are only two template designers who new releases I MUST have, but there are often other designers who have sets that interest me, so I end up buying them even though I still have SO many templates I haven't used!

I keep thinking that I need to make a temp folder and put the main kit page in there and remove them as they get used at least once... but that might be too depressing!
 
I printed a list of all my kits. I've been marking them off as I do them. Real satisfying to see the X next to the names.

Layout 6 of 107. Only 101 to go!
I had to borrow the pictures to make this layout as I only have boys. The beautiful dancer is my niece.
The page was made using Connie Prince's Live Love Sparkle kit.

Layout number #9. Finding Love was done using Gone Away by Just Because Studio. This is my Grandparents wedding photo and their marriage license from back in 1928. i never met them as she died when my dad was 13 and he died 4 years before I was born. He does remind me of Ricky Ricardo from I love Lucy though.

All my digi stuff [kits, templates, styles, actions, and brushes) are on a 1 T hard drive.
The completed pages are on a different 1 T drive.
Plus there are several EHD for backup.

Best of luck with your self challenge. There were be no way for me, but I do challenge ME to get some books done!
