My daughter Samara told me this on the way home from school today, I have no idea where she heard it!

"Don't throw a fit,
you get what you get."

Hissy fit temper tantrum layouts anyone? LMAO!

My boys' kindergarden teacher taught the same saying. My son who is now a Jr in high school tells his 3 year old sister that too. Great word art idea.

YEAH! WA sounds good! What's REALLY funny is when the kids start getting all hissy about not getting their way, we start singing a rousing tune of..
"You can't always get what you waaaant,
No you can't always get what you waaaant."
Usually it just infuriates them more, but it gives us a good laugh anyways!

HAHA, hubby and I do the same thing! Bekah doesn't like it either and usually cries harder lol.

LOL! I love it :) I've never heard that before - I'll have to try it with my kiddos!

And I do think it'd make a great WA! :)

My girls have been saying "you get what you get and you don't get upset" which they heard in Pinkalicious, one of their very favorite books :)

Erin - LOL - great WA! Thanks!!

Alix - I've never heard of Pinkalicious - I'm going to go see if I can find it online at our library - my kids love books and I'm always looking for some fun new ones!!

Trina - How old are your kids? I also highly recommend The Pigeon series, the first one is Don't Let the Pigeon Drive the Bus! by Mo Willems. If you haven't read those, you have to get them! Also the Skippyjon Jones books are freakin hilarious!

Thanks Alix! I have a 4.5yo boy and a 2.5yo girl! I didnt realize the Don't Let the Pigeon Drive the Bus was a series! I'll have to check out the rest of them - they liked that one! My son is in preschool and they have a book club and he averages 180 books a month - so I'm always looking for new ones - I get tired of reading the same ones over and over again! :)
