Happy New Year to everyone. We had a quiet night, had a Chinese dinner and binged a limited series Safe on Netflix. Back to unpacking today. Baked some banana bread this afternoon and am back to binging Safe. Hope you all had a great NYE and am looking forward to 2024, I know I am.

Hi everyone, I have looked through pages and pages in the gallery looking for inspiration on kits to use for churches in London and Paris as well as in the store. I would be so grateful for any suggestions???

Maybe pick something with a generic theme and lovely neutral textured papers, like https://store.gingerscraps.net/Family-Memories-Bundled-kit-Scraps-N-Pieces.html, https://store.gingerscraps.net/digital-scrapbooking-a-chill-in-the-air-kit-kimeric-kreations.html, or https://store.gingerscraps.net/digital-scrapbooking-kit-january-calendar-connection-keeping.html. Or something more church-themed like https://store.gingerscraps.net/Grounded-in-Faith-kit-by-Scraps-N-Pieces.html. This way, your photos can really shine.

Kudos to those who leave nice comments on the layouts in the gallery. I saw that yesterday there were so many layouts uploaded! I know that I hit my limit early in the day and need to add the rest of the layouts when I get home from work today. Hope the designers had some good sales! :)

Happy New Year to everyone!

It's been a rough couple of months for me/us. I got a virus/RVS mid October. I nearly fell the day before Thanksgiving and was at Urgent Care on Black Friday with sever pain in upper left of my back. The shot and those meds didn't help and I was back at the doctor on Tuesday. Those meds didn't help either so I went to Orthro. X-ray and MRI and cortisone shot only to be told everything looks fine but with new symptoms of pain down leg. Was told it was sciatica. Both docs said they thought it might have been shingle but I didn't have a rash. Lo and behold, I got the rash last week.
My daughters' car still hasn't been fixed correctly. Mechanic is on third engine. That what happens when you get a friend of a friend to help fix it. It's almost been three months that we've been sharing a car.
My mother-in-law just passed away Sunday night and they have to transport her from Kentucky to here in New York. Services will be this Sunday.

This year can only get better for me as I've had a terrible time these last couple of months,.

Lily Ann, it sounds like you've had quite a bit to deal with. Sending you a hug. I hope things will start to turn around for you. So sorry for your loss.

Happy Friday, all! It's snowing outside. I was hoping to sneak away and head home early, but there was an accident on the interstate that I take to get home, so I may as well keep working at my office for a bit until it gets cleared off.

So, I had to laugh at myself. I had grabbed a kit specifically because I fell in love with the included alpha. So then when I made the page, I did not use that alpha! I've done this several times where I fall in love with a paper or an element, grab the kit, and then not actually use what first caught my eye. Please tell me I'm not the only one who does this! LOL!

Oh, Lily Ann, I'm so sorry all that stuff happened to you! (((HUGS))) and condolences on the loss of your MIL.

Shana, you are lucky to get snow! I wish we'd get some here. And yes, I do buy a kit with something I love in it then not use the thing I love. So bizarre, isn't it?

So hubby's birthday is tomorrow, and I used up all my good ideas for Christmas, as usually happens every year. Do you ladies have any ideas for what I could get him (we have most major shops pretty close by)? He is so hard to shop for, as his hobbies are expensive. Digiscrapping has nothing on photography, LOL!

Ane, my hubby and I now "gift" each other experiences instead of things. So it may be a day trip to a park, the zoo, Top Golf, a movie, etc. Or I'll make him a special meal, or something to that effect. Is there anything that you two enjoy doing together? Or create something together, like a pottery painting class or a cooking class?

Ane, our family uses Giftster, an app where we can add things we would like for gifts, all year long. This helps for us to all get what we need or want. We also do a lot of do-together gifts such as for my son's birthday we are attending the Wine Festival together, we have done this for many years in the past and really enjoy it and it is also fundraiser for the Special Olympics. Perhaps there is a special event in your area, a together gift is an awesome way to spend time alone with him.

Whoo hoo... we have a snow day today. We had so much winter weather that most places, including all schools, are closed. My CEO told us yesterday that we could work from home today. So I'm taking advantage of that and avoiding driving on these roads. Too bad I can't just scrap all day. Still have to work. But at least I get to wear my fuzzy slippers! LOL!
