Hi!
I'm not sure how many designers read these, but here goes...
I'm a mom of two biracial kids. They have brown skin. Some designers do a great job of including characters of multiple skin colors in their kits. Magical Scraps Galore immediately springs to mind, but there are a few others, and I do try to buy from those designers. Studio Liv recently put out a Christmas element pack that had nutcrackers and Santas in three different skin colors, and I bought that right away.
I'd like to ask other designers to include characters of multiple skin colors in their kits. I just did a search for "mermaids" and, despite the fact that mermaids are make-believe, almost all of them were white (or peach, as my daughter says). Santa doesn't have to be white, nor do elves, gnomes, or other fairy tale characters. Even established characters, such as Disney's Elsa, don't have to be peach. (My brown-skinned daughter played Elsa in a children's theatre show this past summer.) In addition to brown and peach, Asian-appearing characters would be nice too.
Thank you for considering my request.
