Cluster tutorial?

Hi!
Can anybody teach me how to make clusters? Many designers here have beautiful clusters, but I still don't really know how to make them from elements in kit.
Maybe some step-by-step tutorial or template would be a good start.
Thank you

I think that templates can help you a lot with this, Andrea.. I don't know about any tutorial I am affraid.. I tried and tried (with a help of a template many times) until I was really happy with it :). It might help to get some shadow styles as well.. that is a huge help and I was always struggling with shadowing clusters on my own..

I was going to say the same as Dagi. I'm still working on clusters - but I really do think the key is a great drop shadow and realistic sizing. Just play - buy a pack of flowers of differing sizes and play with the shadow size and spread and move things around. Also what really helped me was scraplifting and templates.

I agree with Dagi! I used to look at templates and just make some sort of cluster, lol. But one day I decided to follow the template in order of the layers. It was one of Dagi's template in fact...LOVE her style!! But I noticed to get a nice full look to flower clusters, you layer leaf, flower, leaf, flower... lol. Does that make sense? lol.

anyway, one of my super most favorite cluster queen is Tammy-- craftytam

LOVE, LOVE this layout! Layer: leaves, string, flowers, leaves, flowers. You can also tuck in other elements in place of flowers, like word strips, hearts, clocks or ephemera, etc.. Shadows are also very important to give a nice full look with lots of dimension!

Wow!
That's exactly what I needed, some explanations what to use for clusters... I have some images of clusters from Google from different designers, so I'll try to copy them with elements from kits I have, just to try to make something
Thank you all, hugs

I agree with the ladies. I think the key is practice. As you scraplift others or try to copy designers or templates, you sorta get a feel for sizing and shadows and elements and how to place them in relation to each other.
