Hello, GingerScrappers! I know you're not used to seeing me here, but with Ginger's blessing, I'd like to issue a layout challenge.

For this challenge I'd like you to scrap a layout showcasing your favourite moment from the 2026 Winter Olympics. If you're anything like me, that'll be a difficult choice! It doesn't have to be sports-related, because there were some absolutely priceless moments in the Opening Ceremonies, and there have been a lot of really funny and engaging incidents outside of the competitions. Oh, and CBC has had some really great commercials too! The Closing Ceremonies are happening on February 22, 2026, so how about we set 11:59 pm PST on March 1, 2026 as the deadline for entries. Then I'll feature some (or all, depending on uptake) of the layouts for the March Challenge Spotlight.

Some rules: 1. You must use at least 50% GingerScraps products from CURRENT GingerScraps Designers.
2. This Challenge DOES NOT COUNT toward your Cookie Jar layouts.

Yep, there are only 2 rules. ;) Post your finished layouts to this Gallery (link embedded) and here in the thread.

If you're in need of some kit inspo, here are a few you might consider.

Have fun!

While USA and Canada play tomorrow morning, this moment was the highlight of the Olympics as far as men's ice hockey for me. When Gabe went down and into a goalpost in January and had to be helped off the ice it immediately became a question of if he'd be OK for the Olympics. For this to be his first goal since that injury in January was a huge moment.

I saw this right after you posted it, but got sidetracked. GREAT layout!! Sweden played their hearts out. Thanks for playing along.

I wanted to participate in this challenge to laud our Australian athletes efforts in the Games but sadly my computer is in hospital and probably won’t be back in time😟. Aussie winter athletes need to spend almost the entire year away from home in order to acquire the skill necessary to compete at this level, an amazing sacrifice to excel. This year they brought home 3 gold 2 silver and 1bronze.. the best result ever!!! Go Aussies!!! Aussie Aussie Aussie Oy Oy Oy (that’s the Aussie chant at international sporty events)

I hope I'm posting this right. I put it here and under general GS layouts.
Hope you are also feeling better. Hugs!

There were so many memorable moments this year, but the one that really stood out for me was the Canadian women's speed skating team pursuit. They FLEW around that oval, defending their 2022 Gold Medal race, and they won! Valérie Maltais has become my favourite Canadian Winter Olympian.

I just saw I missed the deadline... oops! That's on me. My boys loved watching the skiing and bobsleds!

Jan, although late I managed to scrap my page, so sorry being late, wishing you a wonderful day!
