I love any kind of mystery/ thriller. Maybe not spy books or political thrillers as much, but anything else is great... domestic, paranormal, cozies, police procedurals, I love it all. I'm a sucker for a mystery series.

I'm just getting back into romance after about a 15 year hiatus. I LOVE how the genre has changed in that time! So much more diverse and so many new voices.

I don't read a ton of fantasy or sci-fi, but I generally like it when I do. (My sister and I have a book club where we "make" each other read something new every month, and that's where I get most of my fantasy recs from)

I try to read 1 or 2 nonfiction books a month, but that doesn't always happen. I kind of read seasonally, spooky books in October and holiday books in December. I'm obsessed with Booktube and I do a lot of readathons based on different themes from book tube videos.

I’ll read just about anything. I’m specifically drawn to psychological thrillers/mystery. This is why I love a good Book Club...pushes me out of my comfort zone. I tend to look up best sellers or new releases to see if something sparks my interest. I’m a Goodreads junkie...although I’m not a review writer...I read plenty of them. And I’m a stalker of my friends lists and pick my new books that way. I love me a good series too...that’s always a bonus!

I try, really hard, to enjoy a collection of genres. But, I struggle so hard with sci-fi (movies, books, TV shows -- they all just make me cringe, lol). I often read in clumps, though -- all mystery/thriller books for a while, then I'll read all dystopian for a while, then all YA for a while, etc.

I am a hoarder of "Books To Read", though. I take photos of book aisles at Walmart and Kroger, and visit Barnes and Noble often. I subscribe to email lists for book suggestions and get completely overloaded trying to keep up, lol. I love Goodreads because I can scour through friends' reading lists, or let it recommend books based on topics or my bookshelves. I am ALWAYS looking for good books to read. Always. There just isn't enough hours in the day to read them all, lol!

YES Joylynn me too on the scouring for books to read. I get most of the newsletters and listen to all of the podcasts from BookRiot (even the genres I don't read much) I have Goodreads and a spreadsheet to track new releases. Even my friends and family who read a lot think I'm a little extreme with all that. :blush
