Journaling:
Jason’s week started with a trip to the doctor to remove wax buildup from his ears - a chronic problem. Laura and Elizabeth joined us for lunch at The Regent before the appointment and we had a good visit. That same morning Ellen spent several hours visiting Irene at the hospital for what turned out to be the final time. Although her prognosis as of Thursday was six to 12 months, she passed away early in the morning of March 3rd. Laura, Elizabeth and Thomas came over on the 2nd and the two children were a great source of diversion for Great-Grandma Ellen and for all of us as well. Laura worked at getting Elizabeth’s 4-month photo and Thomas played with blocks, his sister and Grandpa’s wheelchair.
On Sunday night I began the process of getting Guinness ready for her vet appointment. Two types of medication at night, repeat in the morning and then a liquid in her mouth 30 minutes before the appointment. She was ok with the injection they gave her to keep her sleeping during the procedure but the injection to reverse it didn’t seem to work. She was pretty miserable until the next morning. On Wednesday we finally printed the photos of Elizabeth at 3 and at 4 months for Laura’s frame and all of her photos (newborn to 4 months) for my frame. Now we have both Thomas and Elizabeth up on the wall and the similarity in appearance between the two of them as infants is amazing!
What wonderful journaling. These will be be a treasure to read down the road. I always enjoy going back on mine and they are so sporadic. You have chosen such perfect pics for the journaling (poor Guinness!) I love the stamped swirls and the delicate clusters. You have created such a lovely page here!
