How lucky to be there just as the Guard marched by! Great companion page and love the Royal couple!

The cartoon figures are adorable, though I was curious as to what the "R" stands for in "EIIR"; therefore, I checked good ol' Wikipedia and learned that this abbreviation is known as a <strong>royal cypher</strong>, "a monogram-like device of a country's reigning sovereign" (https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Royal_cypher). Thus, <strong>EII</strong> = Elizabeth II, and <strong>R</strong> = regina or rex (Latin for queen or king, respectively). Puzzle solved!
