What Planet Are You From?

The meteor that exploded over New England on May 30, 2026, broke apart in the upper atmosphere and scattered meteorite fragments directly into the middle of Cape Cod Bay. The 5.6-metric-ton, 5-foot-wide space rock entered the atmosphere at roughly 42,000 mph, traveling 26 miles before fragmenting at an altitude of approximately 30 to 40 miles. The breakup released energy equivalent to roughly 230 to 300 tons of TNT, generating a loud sonic boom that shook houses and startled residents across Massachusetts, New Hampshire, and Rhode Island.
How fitting that June 30th is National Meteor Watch Day celebrated to encourage stargazing and appreciating "shooting stars" as summer meteor season begins. get away from city lights, and look up at the night sky.

Loved reading your journaling. We sit in our backyard every weekend hoping to spot shooting stars. Sometimes we just see lovely sky and clouds, but it's all good. Wonderfully composed w appropriate theme elements.
