Journaling - Day 1 of our road trip to Canberra. We stumbled across this historic trestle bridge in East Gippsland. We enjoyed a walk in the bush and had fun taking photos. The bridge was completed in 1915 from locally sourced timber. In December 2019 a raging bushfire decimated the small town nearby and destroyed half of this beautiful bridge. It was sad to learn of the history of the area but a great place for a break.
