In 2024 we spent a couple of months in the Kimberley region of Western Australia. We were at Kununurra
after a prolonged wet season so there was still so much water in the lakes & rivers. Ivanhoe Crossing was totally impassable and the Diversion Dam was continuously letting out water from Lake Kununurra. Although salt water crocodiles are found mainly downstream of the dam they are occasionally found in Lake Kununurra so we definitely didn’t swim there.
