The galahs in my garden wouldn't stay still long enough for me to get photos this morning so I had to resort to Mr Deep Dream Generator to fill in until I can get a decent photo of these pretty birds. They looked so gorgeous feeding on the grasses in my front yard today.

Galahs can be easily identified by their pink and grey plumage. They form huge, noisy flocks which feed on seeds, mostly from the ground. Seeds of grasses and cultivated crops are eaten, making these birds an agricultural problem in some areas. Birds may travel large distances in search of favourable feeding grounds. Galahs form permanent pair bonds, although a bird will take a new partner if the other one dies. The nest is a tree hollow or similar location, lined with leaves. Both sexes incubate the eggs and care for the young. There is high chick mortality in Galahs, with up to 50% of chicks dying in the first six months. Galahs have been recorded breeding with other members of the cockatoo family, both in the wild and in captivity. During my childhood, we hand raised a chick that had fallen from its nest, it learned to mimic a few words and became a loved pet for many years..
Jill what a beautiful page a well deserved GSO, loved reading your journaling and what a pretty bird your country has

Glee the gatherer must ask: do you ever find feathers? I get really excited on the rare times I've found parakeet and cockatiel feathers on my wanderings. I think the DD did a beautiful job. It's def hard to get a decent shot esp if like me, you're just using your phone, not some epic lens like Katherine uses for her awesome bird snaps. Love the pinks and grey combo, for sure. Ms bird is extracted marvelously. Love the big Aus map behind your incredible cluster creation. Ombre dotting and using yellow for your map shape looks so good and you know i'm just glithering over the edges, too. Oh, GSO! Yay!! Thanks, Bern. I better go look. I really thought I looked last night. hmmmmm.....

Your layering on this is top of the trees! Brilliant! Mars-velous! Your use of Australia in a cluster is very clever. Did Australia give you permission? I can't believe you actually had a kit with the actual bird in it. I am so impressed. I know you love this kit. I bought it because your layouts with it are so amazing, but I haven't been there... YET! Your OOB on Mr. or Ms. Galah is perfect. Very impressive. Congratulations on your GSO! Well deserved. You should have one every day.

Beautiful take!! I love the bird and your floral work is just perfect!! Love this page!

I have never enjoyed learning about a bird so much!! So beautiful and informative. It would make a gorgeous book!
