Beautiful and heart tugging story. Love the photo of you wrapped in the afghan to add more visual impact for the memories. Wonderful use of the tatted lace and ribbon trim. Beatuiful woardart title.

What a beautiful story! Your textures and layers are wonderful and I adore your font. Hugs!

The journaling is so sad, but beautiful at the same time. I lost my mom 5 weeks ago, but she was in a retierement home for the last 4 years, because she couldn't eat, drink or move on her own any more. So we "lost" her really 4 years ago.

Big hugs!! What beautiful, heartfelt journaling. Your page is so lovely with gorgeous clustering and textures!

I love how you shared the story of your momma and the afghan. This is a beautiful page. I like how you included your textures with the elements...straw of the nest, feathers of the bird, etc. Thanks for sharing this inspirational page :)

Lovely page, Susan! Wonderful title work. Love the elment placement. Beautiful and touching journaling!

That afghan really does have a lot of stories to tell. I hope that it not only brings comfort to your friend's children but I also hope that one day they will pass it on to someone else that needs the comfort that the afghan has to share.

I really love your journalling for this, the colours + cascading clusters really bring it all together

Now that I've stopped crying - one definition of fine art is that which evokes an emotional response in the viewer. This is FINE art! Thanks for sharing!

Your story was very touching. My own mother had her chemo and doctor appointments a state away, and I can relate to that anguish. How wonderful you were able to provide her some comfort with that afghan. Wonderful story and wonderful layout. <span style="display: inline !important; float: none; background-color: #ffffff; color: #000000; font-family: Verdana,Arial,Helvetica,sans-serif; font-size: 10px; font-style: normal; font-variant: normal; font-weight: 400; letter-spacing: normal; orphans: 2; text-align: left; text-decoration: none; text-indent: 0px; text-transform: none; -webkit-text-stroke-width: 0px; white-space: normal; word-spacing: 0px;">Good luck in Survivor: Cabin Fever! :) </span>

Oh Susan! ♥♥♥ Your journaling melted me. Love the 2 pictures you used for your page. The textures chosen are perfect. So true about feeling the hugs from an afghan and for that matter all handcrafted projects with love. If you can, send me the pattern. I'm always crocheting something. I made 3 chemo caps for Jill when she started treatments.

amazing journaling. So heartfelt. I love the trim pieces at the bottom that mimic the afghan edges.

Such heartfelt journaling Susan! I love how you shared about your mum and how wonderful it is that your afghan blanket gave confort and warmth to others as well as your mum. Beautiful page!!

Lovely layout, thanks for sharing your story! It's good to know that the love and work you put into the afghan is still bringing comfort to others. We did something similar but as a group of ladies for a friend who lost her husband.
Love the quote in your signature as well :)

Your journaling is so touching! Love the gift you gave your mom and Love how it is giving back to you now!! Great job on using your textures and what a layout to cherish!
