JOURNALING:
My favorite movie is the 1995 political romantic comedy starring Michael Douglas as President Andrew Shepherd. Annette Bening is the love interest, lobbyist Sydney Ellen Wade. Michael J. Fox plays speechwriter Lewis Rothschild. Martin Sheen, as Cheif of Staff A. J. MacInerney, would later become president himself, playing Josiah Bartlet in NBC's "The West Wing" which aired 156 episodes from 1999-2006. Both were penned by Aaron Sorkin.
And, when "President Shepherd" ends his speech with this stirring declaration, "My name is Andrew Shepherd, and I AM President," one almost wishes it was true -- today.
Given the state of the current American presidency, this film deserves watching, especially the speech by the President at a press conference toward the end of the movie when he is running for a 2nd term. His opponent has tried to smear his character because the widowed president is dating a female lobbyist. The line delivered by Douglas is very forceful, and meaningful, especially now. "Being President of this country is entirely about character."

Apparently, when I first was trying out this new system and uploaded this layout, I put it in the Font Challenge in the gallery for some reason. DEFINITELY WRONG. It should have been in the "That's Entertainment" gallery from the beginning. MY BAD. Hope I got it right THIS time.
I didn't. Well, hopefully, 3rd time is the charm. If not, I'm just going to FORGET IT!
