Too cool! I love the combination of the two torn paper mattes here, and the way the Australian outback element is peeking out from behind the one on the left. It gives a very cool three dimensional effect, like papers really glued on a page. Great journaling, too!
 
What a great layout, It is great to be able to read the history of places like this, If I remember rightly from when I was just a teenager this is Wales? and I remember from school reading how the designer of this bridge, Thomas Telford, was so moved by the death of the great Scottish poet Robbie Burns, he wrote a poem about him.. It seems he was another practical engineer who also had an artistic side to him. The layering on this layout is fantastic, but I am curious about the little figure, is he representative of Telford or am I missing something LOL
 
Wow, what a great history lesson Hilary, that is interesting to have the story along with the photo. Beautiful way you blended the photo and love the cute safari guy, he is pretty cute
