Beautiful photos and story. I love cross stitching.. I taught my Mum how to cross stitch and then my dad and we all did it for years and years until Mum passed away.. Now I have walls of her treasures as well... Great memories and wonderful story. Your doilies and stitching are a perfect accent to your page.
