Wow, what a surprise! I would have been so upset if my camera wasn't working! Love all your journaling of the event, so detailed! I love the picture of their sign and the camera and film with the wordart down at the bottom of the page.

Elynnia, you're right—I was very upset. I could still see the pictures in my mind but that only made it worse. But nothing could be done so we decided to make the best of it, and scrapping always helps with that. Thank you for your lovely comments.

Beckturn, thank you for your comment and sympathy. I appreciate both. Storytelling goes so well with scrapping that I love them both. As you're writing, just imagine you're talking to a child or a friend and you're answering their questions about the page you've created: who is that? what happened? where were you? when was this? what did you say? Pretty soon journaling will become second nature to you.

What a great story!! To think you had him planning his own surprise party, lol!! The way you have embellished this page is beyond fabulous!! The sparkles at the top, the camera and films stip at the bottom, the sign, the banner and side cluster...wow! Awesome work!!!
