Wow, what a beautiful layout, El! It's totally perfect in every way. Your photo is what makes it great, of course. The colors are really rich and deep, and the clarity and detail are amazing. I also love your clusters, especially the large one in the top LH corner.
I'm very happy to see one of these beautiful birds healthy and living wild and free. We have a "Mini Zoo" on STX, but the conditions are not always very good. At one time, it had maybe a dozen different species of birds, but then a virus of some kind hit, and birds in one cage after another were stricken and then died. It broke my heart when one tiny little bird died in my hands. Among the bigger birds, the pair of pheasants were the first to go.
Fortunately, as quickly as the virus came, it also left, so not all the birds were killed. However, the experience reinforced my strong belief that these lovely animals belong in the wild, not in cages. And if you want to shoot them, shoot them with a camera, not a gun!!

Gorgeous! Love the photo and ring-necked pheasants always have a special spot in my heart - we used to raise them for the pheasants forever foundation and release them in the wild. Brings back some great memories of my childhood! Thanks for participating in our challenge!
