Not Quite Ripe

Well, darn...that melon needed more time in the soil, didn't it? You captured great pics of it here and got a mag layout out of it.
P.S. experts say to "thump" the melon to determine if it's ripe. I'm thinking the "thumping" might be better used on the head of the one plucking them in the field. LOL!>>
